So get can get money for their characters being used at all. If Arika really wanted these characters used they should have made Fighting Sample into a full fledged game.
Sure if Capcom paid them. Which benefits Arika not Capcom. Not only that, if one of characters gets popular and Capcom wants actually put them in the game they’ll have pony up more cash. It’s frankly a dumb line of thinking. There are more characters, already in the SF Universe, that Capcom can use for free.
Yes. 7 out of 8 of them were specifically stated to be alt-continuity. As some point, you’re just supposed to use your common sense and realize what the point of “Extra” profiles is.
Again, if someone can give me a single reason to NOT give this profile a number besides the fact that Extras aren’t supposed to be canon. I’ll consider it. But when characters like Shiba and Ruby are getting numbered profiles and these guys aren’t, I can put two and two together and come to the obvious conclusion.
Brainwashed Ken got a numbered profile and is delibrated stated on the profile that he’s not canon.
I don’t think there’s any rules when it comes to numbers and ones labeled extras. Unless the profile and the image confirms the entry is non-canon then I have no reason to believe it is.
That’s fine. Like I said, until someone can tell me another reason why Zen’s profile is an Extra, I’m sticking with my current conclusion, “Extra profiles are for animals and non-canon characters.”
You aren’t going to convince me otherwise without SOME kind of explanation.
Conversely, I can give you an explanation as to why Brain-washed Ken would have a number. Because he’s a transformation of a canon character. Even if the transformation itself isn’t canon. Whereas Shadow and Shadow Lady aren’t. They are separate beings created by Shadaloo as copies of other characters. But still entirely separate characters that don’t exist in SF canon in any way.
I think you’re reading too much into the whole “Extra” thing. If a character is non canon it would’ve been stated in the profile as such. It’s not a matter of common sense, it’s a matter of reading what the profile states or doesn’t. Especially when you have Brainwashed Ken being numbered which by your “common sense” would make him canon.
There is no official rule, there is no order of posting.
Cammy was posted in the middle of the day between one character and another, Don-Chan too, Cammy is numbered and Don-Chan not…
Don-Chan is EXTRA and is Canon, Zen and Shin too.
Brainwashed Ken is not EXTRA and is not Canon.
Shadow and Shadow Lady is EXTRA and is not Canon.
Shadow, Shadow Lady, Brainwashed Ken, SF2010 are parallel universe and CFAS is another game… all have mentioned in the profile forming part of a parallel universe or not they are part.
Alright, here’s the compilation of the various **Miscellaneous **entries found in the appendix. Standalone ones that only apply to a certain game are in their specific albums, but ones that are often grouped with other games are in the “Various Street Fighter” section. I had put a ton of Miscellaneous stuff together before, but it wasn’t structured, and was quite an eyesore now that I think about it. My bad if any older entry has been reposted. I made it a point to omit stuff like Bushinryu, Raging Demon, Dolls, and other obvious things that are already in the guide.
Amazing! Thank you for that. I just uncovered the names of Honda’s disciples - yes, they’re named. So they can end up having a profile, too…
And the fact that when SF2 was just released, a lot of Japanese pronounced Chun Li as Shun Rei, because that’s how you should read her name’s kanji in Japanese…
That said, I’m going to spend a week of hard work, so I don’t know how much time I can give that.
