He is one of the Seven Masters of Yoga you have to meet at least once,
made famous by that site.²
On what basis did they choose those Seven Masters?
Name: Jagjit
Height: 170cm
Weight: 59kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: May, 25
Country of Origin: India
Favorite things: Ascetic practices, His Wife
Dislikes: Quarrels, Poverty
A master living in Punjab, Northwest India.
Specialized in Yoga Teleport.
30 years ago, in the village where a young Jagjit was living
it occurred a disastrous flood, and the villagers were in big trouble.
It seems he teleported 50 people at once to their safety, and his legend started.
It’s said his spiritual powers surpass even those of Dhalsim.
¹ The name comes from Jagjit Singh, an Indian singer widely known in Japan. Bless the Internet that makes you able to do a research like this in seconds.
² The otherwise unspecified site Rashid mentions in his story mode when meeting Dhalsim.
I wonder if the floating guy in the background of Dhalsim’s stage is also a Yoga master? (maybe even that floating guy in his Alpha 3 stage?) Also, someone who’s spiritual prowess surpasses Dhalsim?
I always figured Sim was unique in his world but I guess he had to learn his powers from somebody. I always liked Sim and his mysterious yoga so I definitely wanna learn about the other 5 masters as well, they seem like a very powerful group.
I always wondered if Sim could teleport people with him, but I guess since this guy is supposed to specialize in teleport use I’m assuming his teleport is better than Sims. I think that would make him pretty strong in terms of story.
It’s possible that Dhalsim is simply unique in how he uses his Yoga powers for fighting. Others might have stronger Yoga ability, but don’t believe in fighting(like, you know, Yoga’s actual teachings).
Wow, I wonder what the other Yoga masters bring to the table, that’s pretty cool. At first I had a bad reaction because I thought he had elf ears an was some sort of other-worldly being, but he’s just coloured greyish for some reason and I calmed down hah. Either way, his design is pretty nifty and it’s cool to see more of the Yoga world in SF.
