The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

At least we got Skullomania in Fighter Maker.

It was her dad that was playable in that game.

I think he could probably been thinking on Hibiki (similar name) from SNK.

That’s what I meant, yeah.

What I thought was really interesting is that I never really thought about how powerful the street fighters are. Until this game came out, I always thought they were one of the weaker fighting game cast. This game and thread proved me wrong.

I always wondered this since they were pit up against the Xmen in their first crossover appearance. When I was a kid I automatically thought the Xmen were superior to the Street Fighters in every way, so it seemed unfair they were fighting them unless they were powered up like they appear in game. But they’re more or less equals in terms of strength and abilities if you take into account how each SF can casually jump multiple feet over a human and deliver and survive blows which would kill a normal person if taking physics into account.

Haven’t uploaded in a bit, so let’s get back into it:

Have a good night.

Damn @Caio_Lins you’re a machine today. That’s the last of them isn’t it?

The world SF map is outdated and has several mistakes (e.g. Bison isn’t from Thailand). It was also updated in the latest revision of the World Warrior Encyclopedia after USF4. I’m guessing we will get another revision once the SF5 era nears its end.

I’m always harsh when it comes to Udon because of how much I care about the canon, but there are a few times that they get shit right. Like Ryu’s chest scar. Gill and Kolin’s burgeoning love. Or like how that interaction between Ken/Guile and Balrog is spot on. Having Balrog end up being a CEO of a company fronting for the Society is also a very realistic future for the character that I’d like to see come to fruition. It also ensures that Balrog remains relevant Post-3S.

I don’t know about Vega taking over the technological assets of Shadaloo though. He doesn’t seem like the type. Vega does want eternal beauty so maybe that’s that.

Not a fan of Gill basically stealing the whole BLECE subplot from SIN and intended to use Ryu/Akuma as a power source. The Illuminati never came across as the type of villains with their own WMDs. And if Gill is, then he is going against the wishes of the elders of their society.

I know that Udon are privy to Capcom’s direction for the story and will likely try to adhere to it somewhat, so that Fake Bison better not be a harbinger for Ed in the canon story.

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!! (that occupied several bodies)

Ah, fuck, I mistook her for Hibiki Takane from Last Blade, sorry

.

1- i don’t dislike Udon itself, but i find kinda shitty that peoples believe Udon shit is legit and kinda canon, because it can end up influence Capcom

2- i ever thinked that Vega may end up with Illuminati. Rog can be buy with money, Vega will likely accept if they promise him eternal beauty/youth thanks to theyr super advanced genetic experiments.
This may also lead to an evolution of the character if he get the dna power-up (it’s easy imagine him vampire like powerful).

Also considering that Gill is designed to be also aesthetically the “perfect” man will be fun see how Vega react to him
respect, envy or probably both lol

3- As said before i think we have seen only the good side of Gill untill now. With SF3 arc we seen just half of Gill’s story (and due time-line SFV will NOT continue it lol).
The one that want “save the world” and create the utopia
The one that lose fights on purpose as way of worthy selection
The one that have a passive/curative power (Resurrection) as signature ability

But he’s conceptually a two face, two extremes character
In SF3 arc everything is going good for him, even the Alex “loss” seem fake as fuck, he even got something positive from that (found something “interessing” for his utopia in Alex)

But as soon Ryu somebody (so nobody get sand-in-vagina lol) will put REALLY in danger his Dream/Prophecy/Utopia he will show his religious fanatic crazy evil side.
The most logic path for a character like him is that if he can’t “save” the world in the way of the Prophecy, then the world deserve to be destroyed.
If humanity don’t embrace his “salvation” don’t deserve life
It’s not a case that most of original artwork/concepts of him have his angelic hairs hint as shape devil horns
after all Lucifer/Satan was once the most beautiful of the angels according to the bible

And btw the prophecy itself did’nt include some sort of Apocalyps to make Utopia happen after?

In some way he’s weaker than Bison (Bison himself is power addicted, as Akuma) i think, as he will just go batshit crazy (well, MORE batshit crazy) and keep doing his interpretation of Illuminati religion (after all in his opinion he’s the closest to deity, so his version must be the right one, fuck elders).
Bison and Akuma are more individualist and strong willed (still not strong willed as Ryu/Gouken that refuse that kind of power), Gill will ever serve his religion
even if a day may declare himself the God of it, it will still do it as a fanatic that follow it
Once he consider himself the closest to truth, Elders opinion become irrelevant

After all super old, weak peoples in funny togas are not exactly compatible with Gill’s New World of the strong

No
