The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

God why did I even try it.
Sorry Daemos I don’t have videos of guys actually saying this.

I just give up.

Sorry that no one wants accept your fanon as the real thing. You can always go back to the Steam forum.

The “Sodom started a restaurant” thing was probably a cop-out so people wouldn’t badger Capcom to include him. His fate after SFA3 is pretty much unknown as of now. His ending was very likely non-canon, and none of his rival battles really effect anyone except MAYBE Rolento. I think it’s said after Alpha 2 and implied during Final Fight 2 that he is searching Japan for new Mad Gear members.

Cyborg-Belger might be fun; he could be confined to a wheelchair now, having broken his legs from the fall in Final Fight. Also, a Belger-led Mad Gear may be a serious rival to Shadowloo/Secret Society, at least along the Eastern US.

I already defined for you what is the unanimously agreed upon definition of canon. I asked you for a source from within the canon to support your claims or refute mine (which are founded upon information WITHIN the canon itself). I would expect anyone here to treat me with the same skepticism if I make extraordinary claims, and to challenge my or anyone’s logic totally. Don’t make this personal or about you and me. This is about being honest and best understanding the Street Fighter story.

This is now the 4th time that you pulled this crap then conveniently turned your back and ‘gave up’ when your sources were put into question. You’ve only been here for 6 months, but maybe if you understood the history of these forums’ and their relationship with the ‘canon’, you would understand why it is absolutely necessary to demand and show sources in these discussions, and the burden falls on you -the claimant- to submit these sources when asked for.

For many years we ignorantly allowed deceitful, unreliable, and unsubstantiated mistranslations of obscure Japanese sources to have a legitimate presence in our discussions. That cannot be allowed to happen again, and that must never override our common sense and what we know directly from Capcom. If Capcom wants to tell us something about the SF story, they will tell us directly with their games and their immediate supplemental material.

Well the ‘restaurant’ thing is in the game, but it is presented to us as rumor. Sodom could be doing anything right now like you suggest.

I imagined Cyborg Belger to be like MODOK or Professor X, in the sense that his wheelchair is a highly advanced and weaponized possibly machine. Give it some thrusters and we can get some kind of flights or air dashes.

I’m not sure if Mad Gear can pose a serious threat to Shadaloo and the SS. Especially with how the Mad Gear are in shambles now. It all depends on how their revival is handled. I’d like to think that Mad Gear isn’t a rival to either Shadaloo or the SS, but would be open to doing scratching each other’s backs in the mutual interest for evil.

I’m more partial to Zombie Belger. In Streetwise there was a street drug that turned it’s users into zombies. Overdosing on the stuff would turn people into full fledged monsters.

My problem with Zombie Belger (besides the fact that he is a Zombie), is that his idea of a fireball is throwing organs at you or vomiting acid, and his idea of a super is he explodes in a shower of flesh then actually has the nerve to reconstitute himself. Not to mention that you can use his head as a bowling ball!

The crossbow should stay though.

Basicly, you don’t thrust japanese sources, but Capcom a japanese Company.

There was one point I actually showed you on a SFIV intro, why this is how it is.
You ignored all points and used a sentence without any context as YOUR POINT.
While you made wild theorys who and why Decapre is older, did I just watched her intro more than once and payed attention to one little detail.

I know that you don’t like this. So why did you allways said the rival fights are non-canon? Have you a source they’re not canon? Have you a source they didn’t happen?
You say battle X can’t happen, because this would mean that char Y would have beaten char Z and this can’t be true, because of YOUR THEORY.

I basicly give up,cause you never take other sources than some stupid videos and even if someone can prove everything with a video, you will say : No, this is not what I belive, it never happend, it is how I say and not different.

You’re actually a bigger thickhead than the hardcore Chunbase that runs around at all sides and only posts on and the same sh**.

Spread your poison and fake theorys around, I’m trough with this once and for all.

If we do get zombie Belger again I doubt they’ll draw from Final Fight Revenge. I mean, has Capcom borrowed anything gameplay-wise from it? Only thing I can think of is Poison’s anti-air super in Ultra.

All this talk of Belger reminded me of that FF episode from the cartoon series.

Ryu and Ken in Mad Gear outfits = Dying.

I’m sure Daemos would believe those Japanese “sources” assuming they were either credible (AKA actual info from Capcom themselves) or weren’t pulled out of your ass Kappa actually existed in the first place.

But from what I can tell from skim reading the posts on the last few pages is this source you are referring to doesn’t exist or isn’t credible at all.

My dad works at Nintendo* and told me all about the REAL Street Fighter canon…

*please ignore that Nintendo has nothing to do with Street Fighter

I wanna see those Japanese magazines. Cipher, can you take some pics with a smartphone or something?

Oh nonono, you misunderstand master Cipher: he never actually READ those magazines. Someone on a Japanese fansite said it came from a magazine. However, Cipher is right because the Japanese operate as a hive mind and cannot lie/jest, so anything written in Japanese is automatically canon.

Since I haven’t seen anyone else has brought up this pic, I guess I’ll do it. Why is she rocking some SNH evil eyes in this pic? What does it mean!!!??!? Also, check this out.

Notice how she’s positioned right between Ryu and Necalli, both known SNH users. Am I reaching? Probably, but dammit we need something new to talk about!

I’m still really hoping for surprise Rashid heel turn or something. The series needs new villains so badly.

Noooo but he’s so bro-tier and charming and likeable

Though yeah, I agree, some new villainous blood would be nice. I do hope that the future rounds of DLC characters mix things up and have a few more newbies in there.

Also, all this Final Fight talk makes me want another take on the series, but tie it to around the SF5 era. I just want Capcom to bring back some of it’s forgotten children. And I wanna see more Poison, definitely have had a newfound love for her since SF4 brought her back

Rashid’s friend Azam needs to become a new villain me thinks…

Probs gonna pull some brainwash shit on him to turn him into a villain. Most likely F.A.N.G was the kidnapper and modified and experimented on him. At least that’s my theory based on the intro teaser showing F.A.N.G and Rashid fighting each other.

Leaked photo of Azam from story mode…

How do we know Rashid’s friend is named Azam and that Necalli uses the SnH?
