So the update is gonna go live on July 1 midnight (pacific time). Still missed the deadline but with Ibuki, Balrog, two new stages, and new costumes coming out, as well as the story mode, Capcom, in my eyes, has finally redeemed themselves from that bad launch.

And Oh my god! I absolutely LOVE the Kanzuki beach stage as well as Karin’s bikini costume. Street Fighter has adapted a DOA persona to the game )fighting on beaches, in the water, in bikini’s now?.

(Also, is it possible that I can get a two-piece swimsuit costume for Chun-Li, Capcom? You feelin’ me eh? Huh? huh? right! Okay!!! :o )

Something cool about Juri’s new costume is that it’s still the antithesis of Chun Li’s, but this time her Alpha costume.

My thought is that they will both be season 2 material

Like Season 1 got 3 SF3 reps, i can see them bring some SF4 (Abel/Viper) in season 2

Kinda like probably when (not if) Cody will arrive (S3?) it will probably be with one or more FFers (imho Eternal will finally get Haggar)

Also story quote say that Abel found Sagat training in the mountains, and both imho have good chances… i can see them in the same season, due that simple story explanation.

Not a season that i will like too much (watching names S1 is more hype), but still a decent one

Of these all got already story hints of them, Sagat is the only one with a very weak one (Abel’s quote), but he’s very popular and developers themselves said he almost did it in start cast

Only thing that will piss me off a bit is that i was hoping for some new characters too… SFV already got the best cast ever, now i was hoping to see some new faces

SF3 revolutionized too much, i like muh Giefs, Dictators, Cammys and Claws in SF to feel at home (Sagat and Fei for SFV pls).
Plus i don’t buy theyr japmarketing bullshit of everyone new is awesome and better than old chars

SF4 got a great SF cast, but for a such big number of slots has been a bit too shy with new stuff

I hope for SFV they find a middle way, with current cast SFV already “feel SF”, so there is no risk of another weird feeling SF3… only risk as now is be as shy as SF4

It’s kind of sad the very little amount of characters of the game, and adding only 6 per year or so. It’s impossible to please everyone but there are some great character cores they should be able to attend:

Sean has never been my cup of tea but for storyline reasons he has a right to get into. As for others like Oro and Sakura… I just don’t know, their gameplays can be a little half-assed, effective yes but not that interesting (specially Sakura). C. Viper doesn’t seem necessary in this moment, either.

That’s a pandora’s box I don’t think they’d like to open. Some characters kind of overlap with the ones of Street Fighter, and things like bringing Batsu and making him the new protagonist or something, would look wrong.

They would mostly limit to cameos like what they’ve done with Final Fight but in this case I don’t see them adding playable characters. Game’s already have many mouths to feed (III series, IV series, Final Fight, none of them get enough representation), they shouldn’t add one more.

Too sad since I’d kill to have Akira Kazama permanently joining to the Street Fighter cast. Kyosuke is awesome as well and I think he could fit, but if they’re not willing to give characters like Remy a chance, I don’t think they’d be too fond of giving a spot to Rival School characters.

Why would they do that? Cody is the protagonist of Final Fight and they put him in SF no problem. He didn’t take some other character’s spot to do it.
