I doubt Gen will tell Chun anything. The guy wouldn’t tell her a thing about her dad and he knew him personally.
With Urien it could be possible to see cameos from Nerco and Twelve if they show him conducting his genetic experiments. Something of that nature may be reserved for a arcade ending.
Except that Necro was exclusively introduced to Gill, before Urien was introduced. Of course they could always retcon it, but that was one of the key elements of Nerco’s story, is that Gill was the one who tricked him. I was hoping to see Gen just to confirm the old geezer hasn’t croaked if nothing else. Maybe Delta Red will play a more active role in Cammy’s story then they ever have before. With Cammy hunting for the Doll’s I’m sure they’ll be included somehow.
Speaking of Dolls, I wonder how Shadaloo managed to get Juni and Juli back? I thought they were both in safe custody last we saw in SF4.
Does Fang have something to do with recapturing them?
So how many people here believe Charlie’s going to get killed again?
This guy usually can’t catch a break, so I’m wondering if he’ll continue to get the Kenny treatment in V. I actually hope he has a different outcome this time around. I always thought Charlie had great potential as a prominent player within the story. He’s been chasing Bison and Shadaloo for a good while, and even when he realized that the army was in cahoots with Shadaloo, he still didn’t give up.
Now we know this Charlie is much different than the Charlie from the Alpha series, so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes about his mission in bringing Bison down.
I don’t see Charlie surviving this, his revenge will get him killed again. Alternatively, I don’t see Charlie becoming a good character again. He views himself as a monster now (see Necalli winquote) which means he has already fallen and began his descent into a Two Face-like character. Personally I think it would be far more interesting if he became a full villain.
Re: NPC
Kolin, Urien/Gill (as a voice possibly only), Gouken, Dolls, Boxer, Tom, Sagat (the new Ono interview hinted something is up with him), Sean, and hopefully Gen. If only to confirm that he is okay (alive I mean, he will still have leukaemia though).
Re: Juni/Juli
They could’ve been recaptured but we still don’t know if they were actually recaptured. Their appearances in the supplemental art is worth noting but it doesn’t mean they have been recaptured in the actual story.
Let’s just say that beware when fighting monsters that you yourself do not become a monster.
It doesn’t seem like it’s too late for Charlie. Maybe the story mode will paint a different picture but nothing we seen so far indicted that he crossed the moral event horizon.
In the Charlie comic they made it seem that Charlie was deceived via a more advanced method of brainwash into becoming a pawn for the Illuminati. If this story carries over then yes, I would think it isn’t too late for Charlie. But if Charlie honestly believes that he is a monster, that family and friends don’t matter, or that vengeance is the only thing worth pursuing like many of his win quotes suggest then I am inclined to believe that there is no turning back for him (or as you eloquently put it, crossed the moral event horizon). So far I’d say that his disfigurement appears to be a permanent one, both to his body and to his soul.
I also think it would be a refreshing twist for the hero to lose himself this way for the series, to counteract all the other heroic characters pursuing Shadaloo. Charlie would be like a warning or cautionary tale of sorts for how there are fates worse than death when facing evil. It follows that Nietzschean mantra that when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you.
The level of ignorance you demonstrate time and time again makes me envious. Must be wonderful being you.
For the record, no one here said Cammy isn’t strong. It’s just she isn’t as retarded strong as you imagine her to be. And yes, please do leave this time like you said you will earlier, or people will start thinking you’re a liar or something.
I believe he will be the end of Bison along with himself. Seeing that, Guile will go back to his family and stop fighting for good. That’ll explain why Nash, Guile nor Bison is in SF3 (if they decide to follow that path, that is).
On a related note, a likely retcon for SF3 will be that it’s not the first time Alex meets Ryu. So, expect some torrent of retcons regarding the ties to SF3.
