It is someone who is always fighting, not as a matter of fate or other specific reason, but simply because he is carried by the momentum that comes
from his own body.
No one knows the true meaning of his struggle. Perhaps he will only understand this feeling if he keep on fighting.
He has a long fighting historical. Little is known about his childhood; but even as a child, his teacher, which can be considered his foster father,
taught him all he could about martial arts. Since that time, he has a great friend and rival Ken, with whom he trained.
Starting his fighting career with Ken, Ryu went in pursue of new disputes facing each and every opponent. He did not choose the time or place.
There was no room for love nor hate within, only for the close combat confrontation.
In fact, even if he defeats a very strong opponent, he doesn’t feel satisfied. He doesn’t rest and all he think about is the next match.
Still, he doesn’t know when he might be considered “a real fighter/true warrior.”

Secret History of the character development
Even in the old “Street Fighter”, Ryu was already the main character. This idea came from a very simple thought: "the main character needs to be Japanese."
Because of this, he was dressed in a judo kimono, which would immediately identify him as a Japanese.
Still, in the early development stages of the first “Street Fighter”, his name was Ryuichi.

Shoryuken (both Ryu and Ken perform this move)
This technique consists of an uppercut, which is much stronger than a straight punch, adding a rotation movement to the entire body.
Punching with a rotational motion creates a strong blow. But as a bold technique, it leaves the guard down. In other words, when rotating the body, one is
limited due to the leg which is supported, and the move ends when the body reaches its maximum height.
Thus, in the Shoryuken, the jump occurs as it rotates the body. Thanks to this, the rotational movement can not be stopped and the move becomes possible. That’s why
it came to be a powerful technique of attack and defense without flaws.

Ryu as a fighter
Perhaps because of fighting a long time, his body got used to it, but the fact is that he has extremely balanced fighting skills. Indeed,
he is a fighter of an orthodox school.
His master, who could handle the “ki” (spiritual energy), was a key element in order to increase his strength. However, Ryu was not limited to just being a Kenpo fighter.

Fashion Style
Wears a tight, single piece uniform, generally in a very dark color. Could it be because this fits the strategic secret moves? As the uniforms do not have
customized features, that’s the reason of different color and hair style. The brown clamps on the arms show loyalty to the organization.

Fighting Style

When she receives a special order from Vega, destroys the enemy when paired with Juli. Even within the elite squad, she is one that has a greater capacity,

He is not driven by a sense of destiny or reason, rather he fights as if driven by an inner impulse entirely. Although the true meaning as to why he fights is unknown to anyone, even himself. Therefore, he attempts divulging the answer to the meaning of his fights. Ryu’s history of fighting is extensive. Little is known about the manner of upbringing during his childhood, save that he had been drilled in the ways of the martial arts by his master who acted as a foster parent. His best friend and rival Ken also trained alongside him during this time. Starting his competition with Ken, he had undertaken a journey in order to exchange fists with different martial artist. The time and location didn’t need to be specific, and there was no adoration or animosity portrayed, just a collision of body and flesh. However, no matter how strong his opponent maybe he will be satisfied none the less. Rather than relax after a fight he searches for the next one. He does not know when the road of the"true fighter" will end.

The technique is an uppercut with several times the power of a straight, which adds torsion throughout the whole body. The fist is extended alongside the torsion to provide a powerful effect, but also leaves the user open for a counterattack. In other words, the body’s torsion is limited by the outstretched leg from a crouching position, and the end result of the attack consigns the body to a state of full extension. In addition, the body’s rotation allows for the attack to be performed in unimpeded motion during the jump. Because of this, there is no gap in it’s offense or defense- the form of this technique is refined.

Although, the most important factor behind Ryu’s strength is not only his deep understanding of his own marital art, but of all fighting styles in general. This can be said to be Ryu’s secret ability, although he will not make the best effort in order to win.

This is where I vasili’ed the translation royal. Your part on this is a lot more faithful to what the meaning is supposed to be. The “no efforts” part threw me for a loop. If anything this is probably the part I would change to fit yours as it conveys what’s actually being said.

So in esscence it would be.

The youngest of the Wind Thunder sisters. She is a match in a combination of technique and tone, with a character which leaves opponents at her mercy. She has just returned home from Mexico after training for 6 months. She’s the type who not who keenly focuses on starting her language studies. Her special move is the Incredible Compaction Windmill

I gotta say I love the sound of these special move names. Also, if anyone’s interested I’ve made my own Pastebin link to the plot guide which cleans up a lot of the punctuation errors I made on the overseas scripts (small stuff like missing commas and parenthesis), as well as any mistakes I may have uncovered while editing. I’ll be keeping stewardship of this copy from now on and make occasional revisions if need be.

Considering the fact that more than half of Street Fighters endings in canon are non-canon in themselves I feel that having an EX section for the plot is more or less the same.

I disagree. EX has no relevance to Street Fighter. None of the events are canon. At least the endings and events of actual Street Fighter titles are worthy of speculation. They can give an idea of what Capcom is thinking and which direction they may be headed. Arika’s point of view is moot at this point.

They can give an idea of what Capcom is thinking and which direction they may be headed. Arika’s point of view is moot at this point.

Agreed that EX has no relevance to the SF story, but some of the endings the canon characters have are based on canon ones. Blanka finds his mom, Guile is about to finish Bison but gets stopped by his family, Chun and Zangief have their Alpha 2 endings more or less. The only reason why I’ve been adding an EX section is to draw a comparison between the two series and to show how it could possibly tie in as a side story to SF2, which in itself hardly has a story.

Imo, a lot of the directions Capcoms been heading has been mirrored in EX. EX is the first SF title which considered dropping Ryu as the main poster character, Ryu is still struggling with SnH which bridges the gap of its use in the SF2 era, SnH is seen as an actual apparition (Oni and Garuda), cyborgs which copy fighting data from other fighters (Cycloids and Seth), and a villain who rivals the main character who more or less fits the bill as “brutal and crazy” and happens to be covered in a bunch of scars (Necalli and Kairi).

Since we know there’s a wrestling stage coming to SF5, and since none of them even showed up in Mika’s story mode, I’m curious if all of these wrestler characters are going to make appearances as background characters in that stage.
