The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

Don’t do that. Just let it be. Please?

Let it be? After all the crap he’s given people on this thread, especially Daemos, you think I’m just gonna let him slide? Hell no. He deserves all the hate he gets for trying to come here and talk down to everyone, lying the whole time about it. If I don’t call him out, what happens? He just keeps shitposting and no one is any the wiser. The whole basis for his actions was that he knew things from private chat logs, but couldn’t give us the actual logs because they were private. That’s one thing, but arguing that everyone should blindly believe you because you claimed to have talked to someone from Capcom on a secret Japanese website if fucking moronic. He even tried to name-drop someone to sound legit, but failed horribly because he couldn’t be assed to find the correct name. He’s been lying this whole time, and I want him to realize that he isn’t fooling people.

No one should let someone spread deliberately false information. The waters are already muddy as is.

Eh, it happens. It’s not the end of the world. I mean, just sit back, relax. Nothing to fret over. The correct information will be presented in time.

Only when it comes to SF story the correct information is difficult to come by since the majority of it doesn’t come from the actual games.

Well of course for SF the story isn’t exactly there for us right off the bat. Gotta find that stuff.

Good shit! You deserve one of these.

Those Hot Ryu as Mika gifs are so great…

Hah! I desperately wanted oldfashioned credits to start rolling after the Rainbow freezeframe.

Uh…I’m probably gonna regret asking the context, but in that manhwa pic, what’s happening to that pregnant lady? (Is…is that supposed to be Chun?) It looks like she’s getting hit by something…this is gonna end bad isn’t it?

Obviously, this is Magegg’s doujin where Akuma Raging Demons Chun so hard that she becomes pregnant with a child fathered by pure evil.

Yess!

*SFV New York theme plays as the credits start to pan and screen fades to black.

ALSO MAGNIFICENT! SHADALOVE FOR EVERYONE!

PC version was a mistake

I told you this was going to happen. Tormo will be protagonist of Street Fighter VI.

And Dark Hadou is not evil, it’s just dark power but it can be good; Akuma used it for evil but through Chun-Li’s purity and noble heart it was turned into a love child.

So is anyone else looking at the username “Xvideos”, reading this post, and going “LOL IRONY”?

I think YagamiFire is seriously overreacting to SFV’s prototype designs. A few decent things aside (Union Jack Birdie), there is nothing in there that I would particularly care to see in an SF game (definitely not digging that purple suit Bison). They’ve already changed a lot more in V than I would have thought “safe” for them and, storywise, they haven’t even really started anything in V yet. Everything right now is prologue. Give than even what they have now is vastly more interesting and coherent (not to mention actually in-game) than anything they’ve attempted before, I think we should at least wait until they story mode is finished before writing them off.

I need to get this SFV book. Is that a JPN SFV-preorder bonus thing or can I get it separately?

Nope, I feel the same. I’ve seen nothing in the artbook so far that I’ve wanted to see in the game, aside from, like you said, Union Jack Birdie(and Doll Birdie, which, while not a great costume, is still WAY better than the Shadaloo Birdie the game gave us).

Contrasted to the SF4 artbook, where it seemed like every character had better costume options than the ones we actually got.

It came included with the Japanese only Street Fighter 5 Volcanic Edition.

Yeah I want that book bad.

And, as I’ve already said, it isn’t even the actual literal content of the images so much as it is the evolution of SF and the mind-set present in it. I think that sort of attitude towards a sequel is much healthier than what we got in SF5. That’s all.
