Oh, I try😎…
Besides I look into Capcom’s music and analyse them in my G+ profile, I’ve done a few but might get into a Street Fighter one soon, I’ll link you the Omega Red analysis I made:

Well, Capcom chased the Zood look for years after the very first appearance of Akuma

Akuma will go full Zood in SF6, in the final stages before full blown Oni. /prediction

And i will welcome it if better char were involved, CPT2 got these awesomeness for Ryu & Ken from one of the best SF artwork ever

+
A ??? for Guile

But i’m not going to pay the bundle for crappy sakura and lame ass akuma
+
A ??? for Birdie

Stages i admit CPT3 is awesome, maybe even the best… but is easy with me as i was hoping for a decent Bison stage alt to SF2 one

Also CPT colors were bad but not THIS bad

Whatever, will be first CPT bundle i don’t buy

Forgot those costumes, we need all the costumes from this art:

On a unrelated side note look at the bottom image, I guess now we know what Ryu looks like without the gi and who Q is!:

Blockquote
When it comes to Akuma in SF3, I always saw his presence in the story as filler.

Agreed. I mean, I’ve been frustrated with the diminishing returns of his character for a while, but I really just did a double take. his SF3 stuff is what really made me just say he’s done. Didn’t do anything other than show “I have a new super OP devastating attack and stuff Mysteriously mysteries in the background

Huh, interesting about Kira’s vanishing act.

You got it. Ultimately, this is my frustration with Ryu and Akuma’s conflict. It’s been pushed into a corner and the inevitable conclusion wont likely satisfy many parties. Capcom spent so much time building Akuma up as this unstoppable beast, wrapped up in a cloak of mystery, that they wasted valuable time on building up other aspects of him. He’s just in limbo now since it’s not the time to Ryu finally beat him, so he’s gonna float around, cryptically doing stuff like usual and kill Gen. Meh.

Interesting! I’ll give these a read later. Never knew about the existence of these interviews!
Nice job on posting the Wizzy music, he does excellent work! I highly recommend everyone to check out his work and give him some works of encouragement!

@Shockdingo WizzyWhipitWonderful pumps himself ragged in works he composed, I use his Sakura theme for Megaman in MVC2 and most of his works in my FG:

Out of the SF ones the Dan and Ryu ones are the best. Both sound like they were ripped right out of MVSF, they both have a sad feeling but have a nice little resolution at the end:

Black

A muscular man with an eyepatch.
He dons a mark very similar
to our own Shadaloo’s skull.

Name: Black
Height: 203cm
Weight: 169kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: March, 13
Country of Origin: Unknown
Favorite things: Control, Battlefield
Dislikes: Blitzes, Traitors

A former mercenary who belonged to a special unit.
He maintains a private army composed of ex-soldiers.
He’s a killing machine,
master of the knife and several others martial arts.
It’s rumored he has ties with the criminal organisation Mad Gear.

…And FF3 is finished. I wonder whom are they going to do now.

Funny thing is Akuma’s presence in the Vs games seemed to hold more relevance than it did in SF3. He actually had a secret about Logan’s past and told him he could only learn what it is by besting him in battle. Thought that was pretty cool.

I’d like to see how Akuma and Oro’s encounter would’ve played it, though. Oro was impressed with Akuma’s power, but seemed a bit annoyed that he called himself the “Master of Fists”. Akuma, in typical fashion, disrespected the super senior citizen and told him to watch his mouth. The most that would’ve probably happened was a quick battle testing each other or both going their own way.

Looking back at the old stories for SF2, I like the fact that Guile decided to seek revenge through the courts before taking matters into his own hands. I feel like this at least makes Bison appear to be more human than a demon. The possibility of prison seemed like a big deal for Bison…until he manipulated the judge to throw out the case. That was when Guile’s back was against the wall and he abandoned his family to seek revenge.

Funny how drastically different that was in comparison to what was presented in the later games. Guile came across Nash’s badly damaged body, which had the supernatural effects of Psycho Power. Nash gave him a warning about Bison and that was that. Capcom most likely saw a lot of potential in a more fleshed-out Nash, and I’m glad that they decided to pursue that in Alpha. Chun-Li (at least in SF4) still talked about putting Bison in prison in her win quotes, but it’s hard imagining Bison in a jail clothes with cuffs. He’d melt those.

Most of the character’s had some relevance in the early VS series. Ryu and Cyclops had a little friendship and Bison made a pact with Magneto then Blackheart. After MVSF, that interaction disappeared until MVC:I and even then that was handled badly.

I think it’s clever that they paired Dhalsim with Juggernaut. I mean a Juggernaut is a Hindu deity so it’d make sense that Dhalsim would be attached to him.

Dhalsim was actually paired with Sabretooth. A pairing I still have yet to understand. Juggs was paired with Gief. Big bodies, so I can see the connection.

It would’ve made sense the other way though, both Zangief and Sabertooth are big guys besides Dhalsim Juggernaut would contrast each other with their differring frames and compare with the Hindu connection. Some of them made sense like Rogue+Cammy because of identity crisis. One I’ll never is understabd is Hulk+Sakura

Oh, how I miss the darker tone and how rich in personality (and music) XMVSF and MVSF were. If only that carried onto MVC1. MVC2 was a great follow-up that MVC1 should deserves to be swept under a rock.

I did dig that a whole bunch. What was cool is that early on, (late 80s I think) one of Wolverine’s old masters was named Ogun, he looked human, but surpassed death and possessed Kitty Pryde once. I felt like they were going to make Akuma the MvC Ogun or something. It could have been cool if they fleshed it out more, but sadly nothing ever continued.

Haircut aside, SFV Battle Alt Ken is likely based on that

Probably the reason why Chun-li went from “Give up now! You’re under arrest!! You’re coming with me!” in her Alpha endings to obliterating a whole forest with a single kikosho just to wear down M. Bison in SF4.

Chun-li knows Bison is too power and too evil to be imprisioned, and the only way to end shadaloo is to destroy it for good.

LMAO excellent reference

I like the Idea that Akuma is blind by confidence and pride that Oro see through him for his true ability, How I miss those old games character interaction. Even in few dialogue it has been interesting like your given example of Akuma and Logan. Nowadays relationship interaction is kinda meh like Nash, Guile and Abel.

Thats always how I see Akuma and thats how I want him to be again calm and confident not the current has beserk tendencies and that is obsesses with validation towards Ryu and Gouken, It’s like his proving to them that he is better. It shows doubt to himself and his chosen path that makes him look not mentally stable.

Even those tragic endings like Chunli and Jin in MVC vanilla. then XVS Nash.

@Cestus_II That costume is a terrible tribute he low-key looks like the Spanish penguin from Happy feet:

@The_Shakunetsu XMVSF+MVSF had great character interactions when MVC1 was made they threw it all away. MVC1 was more light-hearted than the other two but that MVC1 had the same style as the other two then imagine the interactions like Wolverine treating Megaman like Jubilee or Morrigan flirting with Iron man.
