Oh shit I didn’t expect

Spoiler

Sean!

to be in Blanka’s character story!

So F.A.N.G is confirmed still alive.

NIEHEHE INTENSIFIES

He looks so badass in that suit! I always knew he survived because that is his thing - Survival.

Can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve (pun intended). Bring on SF6!!!

His SFV design keep being awesome, and i usually HATE urban style used for SF characters

If they can totally redesign his moveset to be less shoto as possible (make him brawler+BJJ, essentially old school Vale Tudo) i will really like get him in next season

This design is good too, very Triads vibe lol

If F.A.N.G is meeting with someone in part two of this story, I’m thinking this might be our first introduction to who G is.

F.A.N.G is alive and believes that his best husbando Bison might not be really dead and wants to bring him back.

Ed is currently building up his own Neo-Shadaloo thing probably because he’s trying to deal with the fact that the ghost of Bison is tormenting him to this very day.

Once F.A.N.G will find out about Ed he’ll knew that all he has to do to bring back Bison is to make sure that Ed falls to Bison’s control. He could pretend to join Neo-Shadaloo, help Ed in committing whatever plan he thinks will help him getting rid of Bison (maybe that thing about kidnapping Ryu from the trailer), cause some big mess that will attract all the World Warriors, and then in the middle of it betray him and ensures that Bison takes over Ed’s body.
And there you go, you got a plot for Cinematic Story vol. 2.

In unrelated news: if Marz stays dead after F.A.N.G survived the dreaded “implied death” twice I’ll be pissed.

I doubt it will be anything about G tbh, i think G will create a whole different mini-arc (linking with Q, as Story alt hint)

From the story seem like Fang he’s in China dealing with some chinese group/society once submissive to the Nguuhao

Maybe some super secret chinese cult into esotheric shit (to link with Bison soul/spirit), i’m thinking cheap, underground, a la “Big trouble in Little China” type of esotherism.
In some sense Bison spirit-form to all-powerful again transition can get a loose parallel to Lo Pan’s “resurrection” from the old decrepit form to invincible ghost/warlock

Need more info on Gouken and Juri pls.

Gouken still in the mountains training with Ryu i guess ? If he would be included in SFV’s roster , what do you think his story would be ? What could the old man seek apart from helping Ryu against Akuma.

Seeing Juri team up with some of the “good guys” in SFV was weird-ish to me, i guess she did it because she had common goal to kill Bison. Still though, i hope she keeps to her own agenda for future stories.

Still kinda cute though…

I want that FANG look and I don’t even play him! I really like these side readers! I’m loving that they’re filling in the SF world between game events. ((I…kinda wanna narrate them.))

Blanka Character Introduction video.

Blanka’s win quote to Laura at the end says that the Matsuda’s live in the same neighbourhood as Blanka and his Mother.

EDIT:

Lol at Laura’s tits at the end

Thank you, Mr.Blanka

Gouken’s goal is likely for Ryu to surpass him, and show Akuma by example that his path is the wrong one and that his way through Ryu will persevere in the end. I think 2 things are left for Gouken, he can set the stage for Ryu to be taken under Oro, and/or he can die at the hands of Akuma in the future to cement the idea that Akuma has gone overboard. What I mean with the latter is that logically sometime in the future (Post-3S), Akuma will come knocking on Gouken’s door again to settle the score after what happened in SF4, and Gouken will probably die this time, to give more meaning to Ryu Final x Oni end battle.

He could also introduce us to his daughter and/or reveal Ryu’s parentage before he passes away.

I also don’t think Juri wanted to kill Bison so much as she wanted to cause mischief and revel in the chaos that will ensue when all these fighters clash. Juri is beyond vengeance now, she just wants to have a fun no matter the side.

Killing Gouken to setup a story for Ryu vs Akuma would be a bad choice in my opinion.

Didn’t this exact scenario happened before ? Gouken got “killed” by Akuma and then a rivalry between Ryu and Akuma happened ? I don’t think they will go this way because it would be a waste to bring him back only to serve the same fate. Besides , if i recall Gouken blocked Akuma’s demon with his power of nothingness in one of the SF4 cinematic endings. If the old man can nullify Akuma’s most powerfull weapon, then shit got real.

EDIT : the video

Akuma and Ryu’s rivalry is a philosophical one, and it isn’t rooted in vengeance for “killing” Gouken.

SF4 Akuma is not as strong as SF5 Akuma who is not as strong as SF3 Akuma. Akuma’s story has him gradually becoming stronger and stronger as he drowns himself deeper and deeper in the SNH. All of this was an expedited reaction to Gouken nullifying his then single most powerful attack (SGS). Once Akuma is confident enough, he will seek out Gouken to test out his arsenal that he developed after their last encounter.

Likewise Gouken developed Mu after his defeat at the hands of his brother.

These guys have ping-ponging back and forth since the beginning. Gouken beats Gouki, he becomes Akuma and who then beats Gouken, then Gouken attains Mu and comes back to beat Akuma who then becomes Lion-O in SF5 and will logically go after Gouken next as I said.

Now when Gouken does die, he doesn’t have to die in a gruesome way. He can die in the same way Obi-wan “died” in A New Hope, or even Luke died in TLJ. It can be an honorable way to go, but go he must I believe. Because this is gonna be about Akuma and Ryu for a while now.

Rose: “The Satsui no Hadou is quite a dangerous power indeed. Ultimately, it is but a children’s toy to one such as I…”

I see it in the middle;

I think that in her early days, she was burning with hatred and wanting to kill Bison, at the undocumented period between her tragedy and joining up with Seth and SIN, she probably quieted it down while working for the organization, but when getting close to Bison in SF4 it fuelled up again and she wanted his head. Him beating her and removing her FSE probably made her think that she can’t kill him personally, so she’ll take the destruction of him and Shadaloo as a satisfying consolation prize.

With regards to her fun. During the undocumented phase and to when we first see her, her sadistic streak and enjoyment of making everyone else probably ran parallel. She probably kept up her intense training and would occasionally hurt sparring partners, that, probably gave her a bit of glee since it was a distraction, and eventually it evolved to something of a shift in power dynamics to possibly something occasionally sexual.

She’s the dark mirror of Chun Li. In the way that Chun Li evolved from wanting to get righteous vengeance on Bison to wanting to do good overall, protect people, raise them up and raise a child and live life to the fullest, Juri, now went from only living for avenging her parents to having fun by injuring whoever bothers her, holding others under her thumb to show her power over them and relishing all sorts of painful adventures.

I think she’s interesting and she’s another character that I’d love to see more of her personality expanded upon. (I’m always saying, I’d love a SF anime or manga series so we could have “filler arcs” where we have quiet moments that really have character development moments and even some “life in the day of” chapters.

It’s going to be pretty hard to sell a story where Akuma kills Gouken because, even if I think the way Daemos puts it makes perfect sense, it’s something that already happened once and I’m not sure if the audience would be able to take it any seriously when they know that Gouken was already killed once until he showed up again one day apparently no longer being dead.

It would feel like rehashing, even if makes the most sense to move the story forward.

Frankly I just think Capcom didn’t put a lot of thought into Juri’s storyline in V. She was in the story because people wanted her and her role was to give a hand in Cammy’s subplot, her opposition to Shadaloo is almost ignored. I guess that Juri being there just for the funsies would fit her character, but even then it’s a waste of potential compared to what her story could have been.

Juri could had got way more screen time in SFV’s story but it is what it is. I actually liked team Juri / Seth in SF4,too bad it didn’t stay. Truth be told ,i think the only character that stood out in the story was Rashid, and idk why they tried to make Karin seem like the boss of the good guy team.

But then i look at the way they treated Necalli in the story, so i can’t complain much !
