Ed’s V-Trigger reminded me more of Decapre’s Psycho Stream than Psycho Cannon.
Especially with the way it moves and looks.
Actually, Ed’s version looks a bit faster.
Edit: Just saw that they named it Psycho Cannon. Well, damn.
Backstory:
It’s neither, his hat has 2 rows of 4 chevron, those little arrow symbols which denote a rank in the military. Plus it has a shield in between them.
Although he does have the Shadaloo S lightning bolt on his belt.

As a child, Ed was captured and experimented on by a division of Shadaloo known as S.I.N. with the goal of making him into a replacement body for M. Bison. As a result of the experiments, Ed’s body ages faster up until he is ready for battle.
With Balrog as his caretaker, Ed’s fighting style revolves around boxing, but is enhanced by psycho power due to the M. Bison genes inside of him.
In Street Fighter 5, Ed is haunted by Bison’s ghost, and constantly battles to keep M. Bison from possessing his body.
