I am religious and would love to see more adventurous takes on biblical properties. The only religious flicks I’ve ever really liked were the ol’ classic 10 Commandments and Prince of Egypt. Too many of what has come since tries to give a sanitized sermon rather than present things as they were depicted. I want to see the intense, scary, maybe even disturbing things from there. (I’ve wanted a 300-style Samson movie for ages) So I’d be down for that. Always wanted to see Angels stylized battling it out. I mean come on, imaginations the limit here. Flaming swords and sheilds, and all sorts of insane weapons weilded by exotic beings (or going by some of the biblical descriptions that showcase Angels closer to eldritch creatures rather than fat babies with harps) amazing creature designs.

I’d take Nash’s prologue over Bison’s simply because Nash actually remembers events firsthand. Viper probably THINKS Bison killed him because Viper never met Nash but has seen Bison in action.

Viper doesn’t think. She’s an intelligence agent and a spy, she gathers information and investigates. Everything she has said thus far has been true because that is her character. Nash is missing parts and is a dead zombie, who has been dead for years. Viper’s account completes Nash’s account it doesn’t necessarily override it, who “won” before the helicopter arrived isn’t quite as relevant as Nash being in way over his head.

Viper’s account adds:

1- Nash was much more naive and ignorant that he thought he was.
2- She confirms that Bison was clearly beyond anything he couldve imagined at the time.
3- Bison not only knew about the chopper beforehand, but gave Nash his 5 minutes, and taunted him for it before or after they were over.
4- Adds that in addition to the bullets to the back, Bison impaled Nash with his “Psycho Punisher”.
5- Bison at no point demonstrated that he was threatened or even annoyed (like in his A2 ending). The only thing you have going for this is Nash saying “get up”, which is replaced with a longer and more realistic conversation IMO in Viper’s account.

Viper also knows Bison much better than Nash, and may have likely investigated Nash’s absence and found out what happened from other soldiers that were there.

If you are going to discount Viper’s recollection of events, you might as well discount a lot of other things she has added to the story - which would unravel so much of what we put together since SF4. If Viper can figure out that Gill and Urien exterminated the Old Guard of the secret society, and know them all by name - figuring out details about Nash’s death would be effortless.

@Daemos @crash_and_burn

I’m aware of the hierarchy of SWs canon (previous hierarchy technically)

However, there is nothing stated in the movie that says that Palpatine threw the fight. Can you speculate? Yes. Absolutely.

The novelization, however, outright states that Palpatine did not throw the fight. He lost.

Musings and supposition regarding onscreen events does not make something canon. It is just a theory.

At the highest level of canon available, Palpatine lost to Mace. It is only fanon theory that Palpatine threw the fight.

Also I’m going to add in that currently the canon in SF looks like Bison was just fucking around with Charlie in SFA2 time period where-as originally in SFA2 it was pretty ironclad that Bison just happened to lose.

Insane Bison power-up happened in SFA3. SFA3 Bison would NEVER have ended up in the position he was in in SFA2 just from fighting Charlie and Bison has been SFA3 level in power showings/etc since then.

For real. The Bible needs something totally insane like Asura’s Wrath.

I want to see epic Michael/Lucifer throw-down with the pathos of the fight at the Valley of the End between Sasuke & Naruto. Like…Bible + Naruto through the lens of Guilty Gear al X Asura’s Wrath. I could get behind that. I’ve always loved crazy takes on mythology like Morrison’s Vimanarama or Hercules/Xena or Disney’s Hercules or God of War, etc.

Still doing whatever you can to defend your perspective, I see. It’s funny how you just post the alternative that shows Bison stronger when there are two others (which ARE canon, BTW) that clearly show Bison getting his ass kicked. What you posted is, like someone else mentioned, Viper’s secondhand information and contradicts the events that take place not only before but also later on.

First of all, Nash wouldn’t be so eager to attack Bison in ASF if he hadn’t been the one who had the upper hand in their last battle. He would think he was too weak to do anything to him before and he stood no chance now. Instead, he thought he could pick up where he left off and finish Bison this time (following from the canon ending). Notice how it is only after he fights him and sees his improved power that he realizes he is NOW too weak to do anything against him.

He did beat him in ASF even in his weak form, though. I can’t see a weaker Bison standing a chance against him when Nash is in his prime. Coincidentally, the Illuminati think the same way. Why didn’t they, say, resort to fueling Chun-Li or Guile’s anger towards Bison to finish him off but send a semi-ready Nash to do the job? Because they knew only someone who did beat Bison before was capable of doing so again and not someone else, no matter how much they hated the man.

Capcom clearly put Nash into the series to give us a tragic hero. And that tragedy can’t have been accomplished without a capable hero. Imagine Nash being a weakling who charged into one of the Shadaloo bases and died right there. Now compare this Nash to the competent one we got now. Whose death feels more tragic to you? It’s the latter, because he actually had the chance to finish Bison off, but got betrayed and back-stabbed. Even non-canon depictions of Nash show him as a very strong fighter. Shadow was created out of Nash instead of simply killing him. Even Bison saw the potential!

But who am I kidding? I know you won’t change your mind whatever is written here. That’s how bullheaded you are. What can I say? Enjoy your fanfic where Bison takes over the world.

Great work as usual Cestus but why did you shrink Cammys butt?

@Cestus tightened her ass up. Looks better.

Thanks!
Yes, because she’s never been an heavy butt, more an athletic fit lean body… Chun Li is the one with heavier curves… SF4 nailed her (Cammy) and Juri better imho

Since @Daemos believes the Viper scenario is the canon occurrence and @“Super Sonic” believes otherwise, I feel as though a Bison/Nash FT10 is appropriate. The loser converts to the opposite occurrence and that’s that.

Or

If EX2+ is ever a thing for online (doubt it) in the distant future, maybe we could see a Rosso/Bison FT10 via @Cestus and Daemos. I can dream. @YagamiFire seems like he’d be a good announcer, so he could easily call the fight. It’d be streamed!

Daemos ain’t trying to catch this Cammy work tho. Or Nash. Not even Bison could save him from this massacre.

@crash_and_burn

Yeah and?

That in no way refutes my point and actually supports it.

The novelization has Mace out-dueling and beating Palpatine. This is in not contradicted by the movie. Hence, Mace out-dueled and beat Palpatine. Full stop.

Any fanon theories about Palpatine “throwing” the fight are just that…fanon that is not more accurate than what is in the novel.

Dude, you just don’t get it.

The thing is I’m a Bison main in SFV. LOL!

*Hahahahaha! *Even though those two amuse me, I must conclude this game. I have engagements to keep and I can’t be late.

We’ll catch you before you go back into hiding.

So there was a lot of talk about Byron Taylor today. Most of you probably know about the voice leak stuff, so there’s that.

Whenever I would see him in Guile’s stage, he always stood out to me in a similar way as Alex in the NYC stage. Just the way he’s standing there eying the whole fight and stuff.

Effie and Byron chances in this season? I just hope the big guy isn’t Mech Zangief!

Big guy is likely Abigail

Still praying #2 is’nt Byron

@YagamiFire

Sign worthy.

VVV

I’m ok with it, but Bison should be allowed to bring the 3 shadaloo kings with him… will still lose, but in that way maybe he can take advantage of Rosso stomping Sagat/Rog/Vega, and teleport on his big ass shadaloo-aircraft and bitch away in the sky laughing as if is all going according to his plan

Only problem is that then you will get two pages of Daemos explaining that’s technically a Bison win because escape on planes is a typical mindfuck Palpatine-Kwon-Do sandbagging technique and that Rosso stomping his generals is actually feeding him with the negative energy of theyr pain and fear

You know, I was thinking about what Akuma’s role would’ve been had he been included in Shadow Falls.

Akuma is the type that often stays in the background, training and gaining power, waiting for the next opportunity to find a challenge. With the amount of havoc the Black Moons were creating, I could see Akuma immediately sensing the surge of power coming from Bison. Not just Bison, but the newly powered-up Ryu, and Necalli as well. I can imagine him following the trail of power to the Shadaloo base in hopes of finding the one who could give him the fight he so desperately craved.

Enters the large room, finding Nash, F.A.N.G., and Bison

F.A.N.G.: “Who the hell are you? No one invited you.”

Nash: “This looks dangerous.”

Bison: “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the practitioner of the Satsui no Hado. I was expecting Ryu to show up, but I suppose this will be good.”

Akuma: “This power…this darkness that you wield. It isn’t real. It’s empty.”

Bison: “Bah! You speak in riddles. What are you trying to say, redhead?”

Akuma: “You’re not a true warrior. You’re not worth my fist. There’s no challenge in crushing a pathetic ant hiding behind artificial strength.”

Bison surrounds himself within an aura

Bison: “Amusing. You seem pretty sure of yourself. Unfortunately you have no idea what type of nightmare you’ve just walked into.”

Akuma: “You better bring forth all of your power if you hope to stand a chance”

Nash: “Could he have…*greater *power than Bison?”

F.A.N.G.: “Lord Bison, do not allow him to deter you from what’s important. Surely my poison will be the perfect punishment for his foolishness!!”

Bison: “Maybe those other peasants, but *not *this man. He’s way beyond you and your poison.”

F.A.N.G.: “No! Let me teach him a lesson for opposing you, Lord Bison. He’s nothing more than a mere obstacle. He’ll easily be removed.”

Bison: “I admire your confidence. You are one of the Kings. Okay then. If you defeat this man, you will be rewarded greatly. I’ll bestow upon you my terrifying Psycho Power. Your poison and my Psycho Power will be a *dreadful *combination. Now show him what you can do.”

F.A.N.G. celebrated with a stupid dance before entering his battle stance

F.A.N.G.: “Two minutes. I’ll finish you in two minutes.”

Akuma:“This is a joke. A bad joke. I’ll send you to hell quickly!”

Nash: “Bison is distracted. Now’s my chance to…Huh?”

In that moment, Necalli drops down

Bison: “What’s this?”

Necalli: “Devo-ur. Devo-u-rrrrr…”

F.A.N.G.: “You’re ruining the show!!!”

Akuma: “This power??”

Necalli turns his sights to Akuma

Necalli: “It’s…call…calling out to me. Your soul…”

Akuma: “Something about you seems familiar. A power related to the Satsui no Hado? No matter. You’re an abomination. One that will cease to exist soon.”

Necalli: “Dev-ou-ou-rr…”

Akuma and Necalli begin to clash

Bison: “Hah. I guess I’ll just sit back and watch. Impress me.”

Nash: “Die, Bison!”

Nash made a huge leap at Bison with his arms surrounded in blueish energy. F.A.N.G. intervened by hitting him with a mist of poison, knocking him back

F.A.N.G.: “That was close. Are you okay, Lord Bison?”

Bison: “This worm can’t do anything to me.”

F.A.N.G.: “At least it’s one less interloper to deal wit…what? How is he getting up? My poison should’ve incapacitated him!”

Nash puts his glasses back on, unscathed

Nash: “Unfortunately for you, that poison has no effect on someone like me. Now I’ll kill you for getting in my way.”

To be continued
