I’ve been having busy weekends, otherwise I’d join you guys for casuals.
I’m helping my bro get his lawn installed in the backyard this next weekend, but if he ends up not doing it that weekend. then I’ll be hosting if no one is.
I understand if people can’t show up, but I feel ya, Jeff, it’s pretty simple to just say “can’t make it” or "no show for me."
I’m sure most of us are browsing the forum, but we don’t want to sound like a broken record.

That said, I will say this. I’ve been wanting to take a break from fighting games/casual nights, so that I can re-freshen my strategy, and really spend some time making a real difference the next time I play any of you. Last thing I’ll ever say is that I’ve reached the edge of my limits, and I centainly don’t want to appear like I’m doing so.
Going to any out of state tournaments is pretty much a no go because I used that money to buy games/accesories/gold for my 360, but do know that I was hoping to go (along with those still interested/planned to go)
I’ve had Playstation Plus and I’ve yet to play any of the games I can download and play, and the month subscription is almost out. lol
Getting a 360, and meeting some legit Marvel players on PS3 got in the way of my original plan for a small hiatus.
I’ve entered some online tournaments and placed 3rd/42 and 2nd/16, so I know I’m doing something right so far :slight_smile:

Nothing wrong w/ taking a break to help re-focus yourself. Forcing yourself to go through the motions when your heart’s not in it won’t help you in the long run. The bad part is that it sounds like you won’t be attending the La Grande get together in 3 weeks. Overall it feels like our scene’s kinda slid backwards a little, but no matter. The scene waxes and wanes. Things will change as they always do.

Played Infrit today, of the 3 matches we played I beat him 3-0. :smiley:
Man did he have a grown ass man lol level 4 Frank really changed the pace of the match, but he nearly beat me with no x-factor left.
He wants to start playing online after today (he was just going to try out online, first time he plays PS3 online)

Nice! I live right over the bridge in between Jerome and Twin (county says I live in Jerome, though). My friend is David aka Spud-Zero, who originally played Mortal Kombat. Currently, our main game is UMvC3 and I’m currently getting heavily into P4A, but we play pretty much everything, including super duper obscure fighters. What system do you guys play on? Unfortunately, I only have a 360 stick that isn’t dual-modded. Also, are any of you attending CSI by chance? I’m actually quite hype about this, considering if David and I want to get some games in with others, we have to drive all the way to Boise for some sessions.

Hey folks,
This is just a little note to let you all know I haven’t fallen off of the face of the planet either. I’ve had a house guest the last few months, just moved into a new house (will host in the future!) and have been extremely busy with work- the summer is my busy time of the year. That being said, after September you guys will start seeing more of Chadouken!, and I have a fairly nice sized basement to host casuals in.

Okay, so update time tourney wise:

For the La Grande Folks, it’s still on the 15th. I currently have me, Brian, Jordan/Nadroj, Chris, Rival and now apparently Churro all going, meaning we’ll need a second car to fit everyone. Gas wise, it’lll cost $10-15 due to gas prices spiking over the last three weeks.

For the EOS folks the plan thus far is to leave relatively early on Friday, meet qoqonuts around 1pm in Pendleton then continue our trip from there. Monday morning we’ll leave as soon as everyone is up and haul ass home.

If anyone has anything to add or has details that need addressing let me know.
