Definitely want to try that out. The tutorials have failed to show me Guile/Vega U1 motion, but by simply imagining, I bet it feels like you’re playing a piano XD

Thanks for all the Dante stuff Toodles! Will definitely give this to David when we grind it out in Ultimate tomorrow. Also, I would LOVE to try out that HitBox, seems like it would make Viper’s jc Seismos a helluva lot easier.

I agree that going straight to cold shower xx prop shredder is better, and does work in the corner, but timing is way harder, and adding in the acid rain seems to always require putting an dash in somewhere in order for the balls to hit on the way up.
If you want to go straight to the extremes, follow rogueyoshi’s dante.txt: sadly it 404’s, hopefully there’ll be a new one.

I don’t know, I’ve managed to grind out Prop-> Acid Rain in Training mode from every position for hours. I’m actually almost to the point of correctly timing the Shower into Prop to land me 2 (3 on big characters) acid rains in one combo. Also, I want a combo with 10 hammers in it. No reason, just 10 hammers.

volcano xx beehive, call trish. (I’m hoping the beehive during is long enough for the assist cooldown from wesker’s call; it should be)

shrug dont know for sure if it’ll work, but that’s where I’d go to try. Hell, you DHC glitch to Ammy’s, tag Dante back in; the normal Dante in Slow combo is [volcano j.S]x3, it would surprise me if you couldn’t do it with hammer instead of j.S.

So maybe:
1.start off
2. random third char assist extender
3. cold shower, reverb shock crazy dance xx DT DHC glitch Ammy, tag Dante, Hammer
4.5.6. volcano , hammer
7 cold shower, stinger, BC grapple xx million dollars DHC glitch Ammy, tag Dante, Hammer
8, 9, 10 volcano, hammer

Would be even easier, and the sky’s the limit on how many you could pull off, since you could easily add a cold shower xx prop shredder hammer after both of the Slow sets. If you could drag out the time long enough so that DT wears off during Crazy Dance or before, you could repeat the process for as long as meter allows.

Lol @ Churro. Lol @ Brian trolling. Lol @ Jeff’s posturing. I had the game last night and messed around for about 2 hours.

Day 1 characters for me are Dr. Strange, everyone else is still up in the air, besides Strider/PW- fuck them. Ghost Rider is probably a no-go, not really digging his playstyle and limited chain options. By the way, Dormammu’s changes are fucking god-like.

My plan was to back off Ultimate for about a month and see what comes up. Spectator Mode stream galore so far.
However, I’m really going to need some time in the lab with Tron, so I’m picking it up most likely today.

I’ve been wanting to get the sMH xx coldshower/wildstomp xx prop shredder down forever. Are you just doing volcano jM xx airplay jH sMH xx cold shower xx prop shredder? Anything special to note about the timing?

Well, obviously it’s easier against bigger characters, but I found that hitting j.H as low as possible and going into c.M, s.H is the best way to land Shower->Prop because, for some reason, the cold shower comes out sooner and smoother than with s.M, s.H.

j.H-> Airplay -> j.H works about 10% of the time midscreen for me and only on a few characters. I saw Richard Nguyen doing a j.M, j.H -> Airplay combo but I don’t remember the exact sequence. But yeah, biggest thing is j.M midscreen (it makes them float right next to you rather than farther away, but they float higher so it looks like they’ll fall out), j.H corner, and c.M, s.H tends to work better in both situations because the properties are a bit different than s.M, s.H. I don’t know the exact differences but from what I’ve experienced 1) Easier to keep them closer to you, 2) cancels into Cold Shower easier, 3) bit more difficult to pull off because it’s c.M.

Also, I’m going to try it when I get home but if I go with Dante-Ammy-Skrull I should be able to land 8-9 hammers in one combo. Not sure how the hitstun is going to work on the combo if I do the slowdown late but I suppose I could slow down and just do something into grapple into DHC glitch.

Everyone got beat up good. Yeah, we could have done better. Oh well. I don’t participate in streams, most cases I have them off since it’s nothing but complaints/bitching anyways. Get Ultimate, start practicing, Idaho Marvel revival starts now.

There’s a lot of ground to cover today. Going to try out more w/ Firebrand, Iron Fist and Nemesis, then somehow find time for Skyrim. Thank god I get two extra days off next week.

You’re right, I guess we didnt put the story here. In short, I think we all fucked ourselves. We stayed at a motel on this side of Snoqualmie pass because of the weather. I toor the room apart until I could get to the TV jacks, and we played causuals for a long damn time. Monitor was laggy, but w/e we adjusted.

We get to Seattle, and cant pull off SHIT. Braindead, never drop Dante shit I cant get out to save my life. Dragoomba is landing the meteor smashes and air d+H’s he needs, but Skrull just stands there, no dash in follow up. On the bright note, the guys that took everyone but me out, big names. Rowtron (the Chun) for instance. Me? I lose twice, to the same guy, named Cam. He was on stream with his Thor, Hulk, Dorm. First match, he just slapped my mother and shat in my lunchbox, it was bad. Second match was closer, but I still gave it away from dropped combos. Cam continues on to the stream, and Im thinking ‘Cool, people can see how awesome his Thor is’. And he gets bodied.

So, the lesson: bring the damn Asus monitor. If that’s tournament standard, I/we shouldnt be playing on anything else, even the sexy plasma

Hey, I actually am pretty content with how I played. I sent the guy who got 4th to loser’s, Bee (Dacid told me that most people put him higher than Detrimantix, making him probably the best Marvel player in Canada), and I barely lost to Rowtron who got 2nd (kept fucking up my dashes after the d.H with Skrull because of those damn laggy hotel monitors :<), I think if I won that I would have gotten top 16, then would have just had to play one more to make top 8 winner’s side.

Look at it this way: his Thor had to be good to get there, so people have to respect that.

Even you admit your win against Bee was mad lucky and the $20 you lost to him in the money match confirmed it. Still, winning $100 off him would have been sweet.
