Yeah, Idaho’s Marvel crew is coming out in full force (well, besides Bashh and Churro), but SF4 will be vastly under-represented at NWM3 by Idaho unfortunately. Besides, we’re playing Sega Megamix anyways. Daytona Racer and Rent-A-Hero represent!

You Mahvel players are HELLA monday morning quarterback’ing it up in here about Skrull. lol Even Dragoomba didn’t KNOW he was gdlk. He had his whole team picked three months before the game was out. Props to him for sticking with it the whole way, though.

I honestly don’t know where all the hype came from. UMvC3 comes out in less than a week and now people are waking up to one of the best reset and OTG characters in the game? Oh, sorry, I forgot that everyone was getting their ABC combos with Wesker, Wolverine, and Sentinel down-pat. Definitely the most execution heavy characters in the game.

I don’t know that he’s one of the BEST, reset options are readily available for almost the entire cast given the right team configuration. That said, since the ones you listed (along w/ Dante, Tron, Phoenix, etc…) have a little less execution and more up-front advantages it made more sense to explore them. Come next week, there’ll be time to fall in love w/ new teams all over again.

I’ve only really stuck w/ two characters consistently and those are Taskmaster and Hulk. Hard to give up easy 1mill combos. I’m going to have Toodles give me a Sentinel primer tonight since I can’t find a suitable third and he’s what I originally played w/ them.

I will be in Boise around 2:30-3:00pm @ Toodles. Dragoomba should arrive around 3:30 so that we can be packed and on the road shortly thereafter. We will be making VERY limited stops on the way to conserve time and have as much daylight as possible for driving through Snoqualmie Pass (aka Snowy Fucking Mountain Pass) which is RIGHT before Seattle. David will be bringing his 360 w/ him according to Dragoomba and I will have my hard drive and some games as well, Should be smooth sailing, see you all around 3:30pm today!

Well, Skrull has NATURAL resets off of 90% of his combos. When all of his combos are a setup for command grabs or frame traps, I would place him as top-tier for resets right behind Doom and Magneto. It’s not something you’ll notice unless you’ve actually played around with him.

Also; Dante, while having arguably the best utility in the game, comes with an extremely high learning curve. I can do nearly all of those Dante combo-video combos but it’s often hit-and-miss in a real match, and getting the opponent into a position where you can actually do the combo requires you to utilize the good majority of Dante’s tools. I really hate this simple is better mentality. It’s what kills a good half of the cast in MvC3 because they don’t have Day -2 800k ABCSBBCS->Special->Super combos.
