^ Despite your attempt at praise, that doesn’t really mean much considering the only thing worse than Naruto is/was Inuyasha (which is at least mercifully over now as I understand it).
Anyway, I kind of think Gon’s screwed if he tries to fight Pufu for multiple reasons, but mainly because Beelzebub seems to be far > Reenforcement-type Nen, especially since I can’t remember if Gon ever used Reenforcment to reenforce his voice like Uvogin did, which seems like it would be the only thing effective.
I’m sure he could also win by catching the main body, which is why it was introduced (outside of showing that Pufu’s power isn’t completely broken), but it’s going to really fucking hard, especially since he’s going still want to fight Pitou.
fuck no, not even close. it lost its charm a long time ago. where the fuck is gin? though it is the only shounen to rival naruto in terms of greatness. rival, not surpass mind you.
edit: damned, name me one shonen better than naru or hxh? just dont tell me you actually like that one piece or something equally retarded better? which basically would translate to a mojar opinion difference.
He does, his team on the srk battle was all OP chars. Anyway, the whole Gin plot is a mere bridge(as of now anyway), to keep the story together, to keep it from being 100% episodic. Finding Gin isn’t really a major priority.
Chimera ant is as excellent as the past arcs really. The interaction between The King and Komugi is some of the best this manga has seen. Great new characters have been introduced, old ones were amazingly fleshed out , the world has been given more life, lots of great consistent HxH action, etc. It’s all there (except the art in the beginning chapters of the arc…heh). It even looks like 1 or 2 major (sub?)plots will be branching off this huge event. The two being Jairo and the entity Meruem left behind.
It’s a huge arc. The equally as big hiatuses certainly don’t help
Spoiler pics for 287 are out… wow @ the art, hell of a chapter this is/will be.
It’s a major difference of opinion regardless. I’m being more adamant about it because Naruto comes up in every fucking shonen thread for no damn reason on top of the fact that I hate it and have to see it at work every fucking day. So let’s just drop it and keep talking about HxH, please.
(Also, outside of One Piece, I would say Parasyte is far better than Naruto.)
ANYWAY, Gin is likely to not be found any time soon since Kite was the one they got warped to and Kite’s still fucked up right now. I can probably see him staying that way since it seems unlikely that Netero (if he’s still alive by the end of this) would be extremely hesitant to have any of the Royal Guards live, even if the King is dead.
I’m probably wrong though since Pitou was the main reason this mission started out, wasn’t it?
Kaito being alive wouldn’t speed up the Gin hunt, he wasn’t going to lead Gon and Killua to Gin because when Kaito asked Gon if he wanted to know where his father was Gon said no, and that they’ll find him themselves.
Kaito isn’t “still fucked up”, he’s dead, he’s not coming back  He’s a puppet. Pitou is just trying to buy time.
You’re right about Kite not directly speeding things up, but he could help a bit without being asked to. I kind of forget what happened directly after they came from Greed’s Island.
As the puppetry thing, yeah, that’s kind of been weirding out me, especially if Pitou could bring someone back from that state. Pitou convinently (sp?) hasn’t mentioned it, though that’s largely because Gon hasn’t asked as he’s convinced that Kaito/Kite is still alive somewhere down in there (which he is, at least when it comes to his body).
Oh, no. He doesn’t. I just meant “convinently” (ugh, I can never spell that word) from a plot standpoint since I’m sure that Pitou is going to do/say something to piss Gon off once Gon says what he wants done (i.e. “it can’t be undone”).
Hmmh you mean that maybe Pitou hasn’t conveniently mentioned that it’s impossible to really bring Kaito back the way Gon wants? that’s interesting, if so, Pitou is a damn good actor.
What I meant by "Pitou is trying to buy time " is he probably doesn’t know or thinks he knows what Gon means by bring Kaito back and is just more concerned with healing Komugi. Either way Gon will get killed if he actually fights with Pitou, even in the state Pitou is in.
Oh, that’s funny. I thought you were implying the same thing I said that Pitou just avoiding the subject just to make sure Gon doesn’t explode on top of the fact that Gon hasn’t really asked if Pitou can actually do it IIRC. (For the record, what I also meant by “plot convienence” is that we don’t know for sure if Pitou can or cannot do it at the moment, hence more suspense. [Damned rhyming.])
But, yeah, I agree that Pitou would kick Gon’s ass if he’s at least Kite’s level. I kind of doubt that Pitou will get to fight considering only a quarter of the time needed to heal Komugi has passed and Netero’s finally about to fight Mereum.
Kaito magically becoming himself again after dying by decapitation (and then being made into a nen puppet!) would mean Togashi has abandoned HxH
Anyway there are a lot of things going on at the same time so it’s kind of hard to predict what is actually going to happen. Togashi is too good. Hopefully this hiatus won’t be as long as the one leading to this vol.
So, someone on 2ch has apparently leaked HxH’s come back date… May 12th. Time to get hyped and reread the last batch of chapters! Let’s hope he starts concluding things this time.
Hopefully, this is accurate. I’ve almost finished reading the series from volume 1 to volume 25. If more chapters keep getting produced, maybe that means that viz will release chapter 26 before the January 2010 release date (yes, January 2010 is the next release date).
Even though that chapter went by really quickly and was a bit rough, it’s nice to see that the author is finally feeling better.
Also, wow, the recap art was nice.
Netero’s powers countine to confuse the hell out of me. Is he Specialization type Nen? It seems like he must be to constantly be summoning something that huge and complicated…
Nice to see that he isn’t completely outclassed, though doesn’t seem like the King is still taking that much damage.
