just read up to the ant king vs old man fight. this is the only manga i’ve ever been really interested in.
whoever the artist is for this manga, goddamn he’s really lazy at times. its like he’s given 2 months to complete an episode but he waits until the last 3 days before he decides to do it, lol.
Yea, he goes on a lot of loooong breaks too. I believe he’s the artist of Yu Yu Hakusho, so you might wanna check that out too.
He does all the work without assistants. 20 pages in a week for a slow artist is rough.
he needs at least 2 assistants. i’m sure he can get a few art students to help him for free.
for me its not so much the length of time he spends, its the quality of his artwork which appears really rushed at times.
Is it as good as HxH??
Yuyu had a rushed ending because of a fallout with jump, but it was popular during its time and a lot of people still like it.
He has no assistants because he does Hunter as a hobby, not so much as a job. The rushed chapters are when he was trying to meet a deadline but didn’t have enough time when they were keeping him to a schedule. His current status is releasing them when they are done, rather than every week.
That, hunter, and berserk are my three top series ATM, if you wanted more suggestions.
