Oh shit. I completely forgot Silva was there already. So much for that “theory”.
And as much as I liked the Cheetah, I found that .
Well, I was just more talking about helping Gon. I really can’t think of anyone that we’ve actually seen being able to take on King (directly). However, I also can’t think of why Ging would show up to save Gon when has been close to death plenty of times. I mean, didn’t he specifically tell Laser not go to easy on Gon? The same guy who played a lethal game of volleyball with them over a goddamn card?
Ging might stand a chance against the King, but he has no real reason to show up now.
There’s really no reason for Ging, Hisoka, and Kuroro to be there, and those three are probably the only people at or near Netero’s level. Unless I’m missing someone else?
And I wonder the significance of the skull on the last panel. Is that someone’s ability?
Speculative answer for my two questions: Maha Zoldyck
Hisoka would be there just because the ants are really strong. Or did you forget that he gets off on fighting tough opponents?
Ging showing up would be going against everything he said, since he wants Gon to be strong enough to find him in the first place.
Gon won’t be affected by Pitou’s en because he is the most determined. Novu and Palm freaked because they were so outclassed, and knew that they would choke when it came down to it. Everyone there now would be able to stand it.
Im a big fan of HXH until the long hiatus… well im still a fan, only that i got tired of waiting… i have some questions though, ive never really bothered to watch the animes/OVAs, are they good or i can just skip em?
I may have interpreted it wrong, but I got to thinking that she’s a coward when she got really shook because Palm was pissed off at Gon. She was all like “I’ll have to get away or I’ll die. QQ.” This even though I doubt that Palm’s outright stronger than her, especially considering what Biscuit really looks like.
I’m not saying she’s a weakling, but between that and her not helping them in the current assault–I forget the reason why–on the ants, she seems pretty cowardly.
I thought she didn’t want to fight the ants because there wasn’t anything in it for her? She was only in greed island to get the blue planet, but she liked gon and killua because of the chance to help focus them.
Hisoka will jump on anyone he thinks is strong enough to fight. Hence him being in the battle tower, and his desire to fuck Gon (up) later. He was just obsessed with Kuroro for longer than anyone else we’ve seen.
But, if Hisoka was there it would take away from the shine of the newer characters. Plus, I’m loving the development Gon & Killua are getting more so than greed island.
hxh and naruto are one of the few shounens that keep me hooked. also on another note, netero and the zoldiacs should be pretty evenly matched. some members of the ryodan could potantially take on the king too (pain packer guy, sphinx? kuroro, hisoka), gin is probably the strongest in the manga but like yall know he aint got shit to do thur right now.
Boom goes the King! I actually enjoyed this chapter quite a bit, and whatever empathic feelings I had for the ants are gone. Those monsters should die.
It’s funny that you say that since the political commentary in this chapter made it seem like the humans were the true monsters. That being the so-called “difference” between humans and ants. After all, even The King’s earlier actions haven’t been done with the “limitless malice” that Netero spoke of. Not that that excuses what’s essentially sociopathy on the (Royal Guard) ants/soldiers’ part. (Or is psychopathic? I always get the two confused.)
That may just be my misanthrophy speaking, though.
Regardless, I have this feeling that if the King actually died, things are going to be worse off since no one is fucking with Yupi right now AND he and Pufu would probably go straight back to Pitou, who is still planning to kill Gon who can’t beat him alone to begin with. And I’m not sure how Palm, Killua, Knuckle (whose already been shown that his Hatsu is pretty worthless against the ants or, at least, Yupi) and Ikarugo are going to shift things, especially when Jail is probably going to stay with Morau and Shoot to make sure they don’t bleed to death.
