The Houyoko sen April Ottawa Thread

lol the B stands for beef?

Who is this “weaksaucemalian”?

Does he come from mogafreeshu?

And why can’t the MM be in XMen?

Seriously lol

I have your support

pat, i’m sure you’ve seen this:

but yeah, I’ve been thinking and while I’m cool with people being veg/veagan I think it’s perfectly natural for humans to eat meat. I just want to eat meat like we’re naturally supposed to. So Ive decided that going organic is the best option. I’m cool with eating free range meat and fish and stuff, as long as its life was healthy but definitely not interested in eating anything in that video.

ps. thanks arun for the video.

WOW. That was a powerfull video, Kheim. I still think that protein is an essential part of the human being’s diet, though. I think that the governments of the countries that were shown should step in and regulate the farmer’s actions more so that those guesome acts are against the law. The normal, innocent citizen should not be made to pay for the mistakes made by the farmers.

i certainly hope you’re not the majority cause your opinion is completely misinformed

 1. animals are not the only form of protein

1b. i’m ok with eating animals. I just want to eat healthy ones.

 1. those farms exist in canada and the us. in fact as a general rule it’s developed countries that pay for those animals, since it’s developed countries populations that are the only people in the world who eat so much meat that they need to power farm the animals. it’s developed country demand that drives the meat market.

 2. our governments condone this type of farming. In fact in canada, it’s these farms that are owned by government agencies. Ever see milk ads? that’s canadian government money farming cattle for milk and paying for those advertisements. They own the farms.

(sigh) Yes, I knew that there were other forms of protein. I’m a barbarian

I’m no insult to your country. It is you who insults me and my brethren with your snooty, glove-slapping attempt to money match, not to mention your ill advised assumptions! Why not go home and be a familyscrub? I will challenge you at T9 for whatever game you want play only, there is a catch. We must play traditional rules: the loser is obligated to place the winners balls onto his chin. Now will you be a man? Do you accept?

who has my support?

SUCKCESS!

Np.

Ehsan, what’s good.

Superb idea. I didn’t watch the video, but know all about the processes that go on. It’s not just inhumane, it’s actually incredibly unhealthy for the consumer and results in a weakened/destroyed immune system and therefore various body partsas well.
I could go on forever but the main thing i wll tell you is that something that is certified ‘organic’ can mean dick diddly shit (which really should be expected).
I prefer to be “food conscious” (looks like your starting on this anyway). Universally applied (don’t just do it for the meat you eat, but yourself), you are considerate of everything and that sounds pretty ideal. You’d have to learn how to look through ingredient lists though. I can tell you from experience that it will change your life because the effects are beyond noticeable.
I’ll be honest, unless you buy your meat from/your meat comes from the surrounding rural areas, and the processes are made clear - you’ll have no way to accomplish what your attempting.
Even though I eat meat, it’s extremely difficult to argue that it’s perfectly natural to eat meat…we aren’t even equipped to eat animals straight up (teeth, digestive tract, stickly bipedal). It seems like a part of our more recent advancement that allowed us the luxury of it.

Meh. But you’re right, there is no real way to know if all this went on before the meat reaches the supermarket. On the human’s “recent advancement,” I thought it was interesting that some apes eat meat. Not that THAT isn’t without its barbarity. People look at the apes attacking a monkey and say, “OMG! Those apes are SO cruel!” Well, that was US a couple million or so years ago, probably.

Its not getting any funnier man. Just let it go.

That video displayed some of the worst animal cruelty I have ever seen.
Profiteering at its worst.

I get most of my chicken/beef from a farm in the suburbs of Ottawa. I have been there, and I have seen how they handle their animals. Its no heaven for the animals, but its a far cry from the video. Most halal places like shawarma shops get their food from that farm. I cant wait till the label “Free-Range” is well supervised…

Just do a 3s honour match or whatever. best out of 3 or 5. and pick Urien…

Always got my support. “weaksaucewhatever” if you dont accept then your kind of being a hypocrit by calling him weaksauce or whatever…we dont have to wait till T9 to do this. This can happen on friday. Just do it.

Persia, out.

edit: Arun, nothing is good. I left my stick at johns place. He is in charge of it now.

I definitely understand that not every farm produces abominations that were seen in the video; but the question is: how do i know? And really the hardest part is on the flip when something says: “organic” how do you know?

So mostly, Im just going to try and inform myself as much as possible so that I can make the best choices in terms of quality food.

Organic and 100 mile radius diets seem to be the direction I’m heading.

EDIT: I’ve got a pretty good guess who weaksaucemalian is. and as much as I’d love to support you ahmed; i’d have to put my money on weaksaucemalian.

hahahahaha, best name ever.

myea, see, if anybody wants to hook me up with the info on where to get real free-range organic shit I’m down to switch. Ryad, what’s good?

In my opinion with the amount of publicity this issue of overproduction and dilution-of-quality (with regards to chicken and beef in particular) will, in the next five or so years, become primarily of concern to people from lower income backgrounds (fucking rough, I know.) As it stands there is an ever-increasing demand for organic/free-range foodstuffs and a premium placed on certifiably ethical production conditions.

On the real though, real freerange chicken > superchicken alllll day. So gamey and good.

Now on to the filarious shit:

weaksauce vs. success:

lol weaksauce should wear a Ronald Reagan mask if he wants to keep his identity hidden.

The thought occured to me:
if weaksauce is randomly a beast at 3S… what then?

Furthermore,
Why is the stipulation put out there that the match cannot be in either Marvel2 or X-Men?
What is being said with that stipulation? Ahmed, are you under the impression that Weaksauce is one of the upper-tier XSF or MVC2 players? Where’s the love for the Vs. Community lol

I should have taken the damned pawn.

gg thurr

I can’t remember any single time that I saw SUCCESS!!! playing XvSF or MvC2.

But yeah, the governments should make that kind of cruelty punishable by law. The narrator said that much of what was done is legal, which is a surprise to me.

John B…trust me…3s… and go on msn like I said.

In Ireland you can ask your server to tell you what farm your steak/chicken/fish/bacon/ came from. further more, you can be rest assured that everything grown in ireland is organic and free-range. and you can enjoy it with local scotch aswell. pretty cool. o ya, at most restaurants there, vegetables are all you can eat(also organic).

some food for thought there.

I am weaksaucemalian

Ha ha, You wish.
