Jupiter Jazz is like my favorite. I found the song through Cowboy Bebop on WinMX (remember that shit?). It was mislabeled as a song from the show with the same name, but alas, it was an Underground Resistance song.

Yep.
That’s what I hate about all these ‘diehard Detroit Techno’ fans. So many people are already like “Booo the lineup sucks!” While it is meant to show off local talent, if big name people aren’t allowed in then you won’t be able to bring in casual electronic dance music listeners and then the show won’t pull it enough people and then ticket prices go up and more horrifically gay shit will occur.
So what if Moby is mainstream. Good. He decided he wanted to make money with his art. :-p
My dream DEMF would consist of half local (Detroit Metro/Windsor), another quarter international/national artists and then the last quarter full of big names like Moby or (if one must) Mos Def (it would be cool if the hip hop performed had a decidedly electronic feel to it. I hope those Cool Kids fit the bill).
And I really miss the SUPER low budget tents that people would have all over Hart Plaza. Ya know with their own things going on. I really wish that the plaza was bigger though.

So are you going to be coming over to Detroit this year Yellow? I wonder how many SRKers besides obvious Detroit natives are going to be there. I may even go the distance and buy VIP tickets but only after I find out what is included. $150 is a lot for a mystery prize.
