Must resist buying another VLX … Already own too many sticks…UGH. I may just cave
You’re only suppose to be charged tax if you reside in the same state as the vendor and/or they have a physical presence (warehouses, etc. such as Amazon).
From what I remember, if you buy a VLX from Hori USA then they’ll just ship it in the retail box whereas Arcadeshock has a $10 option to ship with an outer shipping box if you care.

I know most everyone is ordering from Arcadeshock but maybe those of you who ordered from Hori USA that are familiar with them can answer this. Why do they not charge tax? I got a confirmation e-mail showing the grand total for my order as $599.98. No tax or shipping. Not complaining but just was wondering if they’re gonna hit me up later. I know Arcade Shock shows they charge tax.

Interesting. Pretty sure I get charged tax on many other online purchases but they’re big companies that probably have stores in my state. Just was curious because Arcade Shock states they charge tax…or at least I thought it said that…either way, awesome.

You forgot to mention that Killer Instinct Classic and Killer Instinct 2 Classic for XBone. Don’t want the few long suffering XBone early adopters out there to think there’s only one fighting game on the system o:)
Killer Instinct Classic and Killer Instinct 2 Classic, man get the SNES and N64 games. I didn’t count the SNES Super Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting for the Wii U VC so Xbone don’t get the SNES KI.
There still only one fighting game on the Xbone, Killer Instinct (2013).Laban:
I wish there was an easy/affordable way to put in an Optical Hayabusa in this baby. Looked around the forum and saw the thread where a person cut through the PCB and casing of the Spark to put it in a Hayabusa. I’m too inexperienced for that. I could try to buy a V4 Midnight blue and take the Optical Hayabusa from there but buying a V4MB right now will cost more than preordering the Kuro VLX. Then I’d just have a V4MB case that I wouldn’t care that much for, which I’d most probably stick in the stock Hayabusa from the VLX. I guess PS4 sticks are in demand and I could resell the V4MB but disclaimer that it wouldn’t have the silent. It would be nice if Hori could directly sell Silent Hayabusa levers, even if just a limited production line of it.
If only, if only
You can always put the JLF with Flash 1 or sparky in place of the Optical Hayabusa.
I am planing to take the Hayabusa and Kuro buttons out and put in a Seimitsu LS-40, some Seimitsu PS-14-KN Smoke, a Seimitsu PS-14-DN-K Smoke for the start button.
Thinking about it and reading the Hayabusa thread, I could just take the pivot cylinder, shaft, actuator, and etc. from the Hayabusa and put it in a JLF-TP-8YT assembly, correct? (Just want to reaffirm to make sure.) So I can still have the good parts of the Hayabusa but put in a Spark/GamerFinger/Flash 1 in there. Then I could put in the blue, square restrictor gate from my silent JLF assembly. I think this may be the cheapest alternative for now.
I don’t know if that would work.

When I have money down the line, I’ll do it for science
I made it 2 days.
All I remember is how much I regretted not getting an OG and Diamond VLXs. Not this time.
Especially since PS4 pad hacking is a pain in the ass.

Me, too. I’ve wanted a VLX for so long, but I wasn’t a stick user for the 30 minutes the red ones were available and I was in grad school for the diamond.
But now… now I have a job.

It was the same with me on the OG but as soon as I saw the Diamond at SCR’13 it was an impulsive instant buy for me, but I never regretted it. I was lucky to get the OG one 4 months later not only with a travel bag and dual modded but I won it off eBay for around $250.
How is the art attached to the metal top plate on the VLX, glue/adhesive? Any way to remove it and put it back on to be good as new?

its glued onto the metal panel. its difficult to remove without damaging it.
I would imagine to be glued like most of the other Hori sticks.
Question is can you peel up the art without destroying it?
IF (keyword IF ) the art printed on plastic and not paper, IF you take your time, use something like a hair drier to heat up the glue you MIGHT (another key word might ) be able to remove the art with out destroying it.
More than likely this VLX will be like the others, and if one of the other VLX owners chip in for some insight that be great.
I will pass after reading the post from Mark that Hori didn’t correct the black paint issue… Sucks too because I really like the stick but I’m not spending $300+ to have the same issues as my original VLX.

I think I will too, love the VLX love this new look but I don’t want to collect it I want to use it and that looks like a problem.
Would of preordered a PS4 VLX Diamond right away though
Looking at the left and right side looks like painted metal like the first VLX to me without a clear coat or something, maybe it’s powder coated? not sure

Perhaps we should layer look into some plastic protector. Maybe some static cling sheet of Mylar plastic that acts as a buffer or protective film.

Yeah that might be a good idea, my question before about removing the artwork neatly was for getting it powder coated in case some paint chipping/rubbing off did happen but I guess that’s out of the question if it risks messing up the art.
I wonder if Tek Innovations would make Art and plexies for the VLX
If we get enough people maybe he can do a custom order?
I’ve seen a few custom artworks I guess that’s lami-label or something similar?
