The turbo panel will have 4 24mm holes or something else?
24mm buttons are too big. They will hit the sides when the panel is installed. 18mm Sanwa SDM-18s.
These VLX panels look great, but kinda dull. What kind of material is the art printed on?
Its definitely a matte material, I believe it’s a type of vinyl
Its glossy vinyl with a satin finish overlaminate. I do this because the gloss lams look like crap after any sort of use.
Can you find the SDM-18 in all black?
My vote goes to the red one! I think it will be very interesting with the VLX hayabusa which I also have on preorder. It would provide great contrast to all the black thats already on the stick. Would definitely be interested in 2 for red.
Since we are bringing up matte vinyl and color choices, would it be possible to wrap the visible part of the panel in the color of our choice, rather than a limited selection of coated colors?
I was too lazy to get my Nikon D200 and get set up for a decent shot, the Galaxy S5 was just right there
I’m going to offer these in two colors powder coated. Doing small printed wraps and such can be done but the size and time factor make them just as expensive as a metal panel because it requires a lot of time and manual work before finishing. A less expensive option is a decent can of paint. I hear plasti-dip works awesome and comes in a lot of colors.

Would the sanwa 20mm buttons fit? Not sure about the “wing” system to hold the 18mm sanwas. Just a thought.
I’m sure they would. I ordered some SDM-18s from @armi0024 and @SusanInParadise over at www.paradisearcadeshop.com tonight to try them out. I know the 24mm will touch the sidewalls of the plastic face part of the case. I don’t like forcing things to fit.
Those steel vandal switches are pretty nice too and probably will go good with the steel plate, I think they come in many sizes as far as I remember like 16,19,22mm etc.
