LMAO!!! i wish u had a replay with that lol
Serves you right. I hate that ult.
I personally hated the 6.52 era because it promoted ultra defensive strategies and little ganking/pushing with blink dagger getting a BIG improvement and carries getting slightly nerfed (lycan,dk, etc…) the game is seeing the likes of lina, leshrac, tiny etc… once again.
Idk about Leschrac and tiny. They’re too item dependent.
I like how magnus, sand king and centaur are usefull once again.
I saw this some time ago and I feel you.
I play 2 games a day usually on tda and all this crazy skill bs is just getting old. It really just comes down to three people walking into each other and whoever has teh crazier “i-win-button”…wins.
Its like…UhUHUhHAHAHhaha…leviathan stun, lich, wd ult…uhh wow, amazing, Iam not getting tired of that crap, your so good…
Now that I have played more I realize its mostly a slot machine with who gets matched against who in what lanes. oohh boy, lich, I am melee, yay…
Yes, strong AOE usually wins games, if the team has even minimal teamwork. However they can be beaten by even better teamwork. I’ve seen magnus teams get torn apart because of good silences, good ganks and good pushes.
Lanes aren’t slot machines, you have to pick and seperate your characters into lanes carefully, you just can’t run into any lane. Nowadays it’s usually:
Sent:
Mid solo but a good ganker (Lich, Qop, Leshy etc)
Bott solo, a ranged carry (Luna etc.)
Top two chars that work well together (SK/Lina for example)
Someone pulling bott (this can be almost anyone, even bigger advantage if they can totally jungle)
For Scourge reverse everything, since the jungle/pull goes on top. And of course, it’s never a fixed formula, gotta roll with what you get in draft/sd picks, and mix it up according to the sitaution.
HAHA no fuckin way, i gotta see this shit.
Any sites with good strategy for characters and their recommended item trees?
The DOTA forums have like one good guide out of 100, what character are you thinking about, and what modes do you play? For em games, you just stick attack items on basically everyone =\
I’m just starting, but I don’t want to mess with modes; just want to go with what is the “official” way to play (I guess that it would be default). I’m playing with Lina the Slayer in the Sentinel side and Kel’thuzad the Lich when in Scourge (Lina is a must for me, but I can change Kel’thuzad to something else under recommendation).
^ play sven. Really easy to play. Two active skills, i hope you wont have trouble using storm bolt on right situations, and the other one is god strength that gives you shitload of attack, just activate on the right situation and for items just mass strength items, bkb and maybe some attack speed. So you only have to “think” when it comes to big pushes or team battles when is the time for you to activate your bkb/ulti and start the rape. If you fucked that up tho, you’ll become ineffective as a sven user.
Lich is awesome, but when you pick him, you’re basically signing a contract to be your teams bitch. You buy the teams chick, and the mekansm. Always solo mid with lich.
Skill build is ritual/nova/nova/ritual/nova/chain/nova/ritual/armor/stats/stats. etc
Stand by the creep spawn area at the beginning, and the moment the creeps spawn, ritual one of the melee creeps. Ritual whenever you can. Combine this with nova spam, and you’ll be like 2-3 levels over the other guy. Always nova when they’re near you so you can get off a few regular attacks while they’re slowed, and trying to run back.
Most importantly, buy items according to your enemies str and weaknesses. You might think most characters just have a standard successful buy order, (ok, an early radiance on anyone is a tad useful…) but you can be even more successful if you are a smart shopper.
The other team are mostly casters? HoD, linkens sphere, diffusal blade, and you are one up on them. Mostly melee? Get a blade mail. I know, you never see anybody wearing this, but I can tell you the guy playing Ulsafar will not be happy about it.
Just play Skeleton King
easiest hero to play EVARRRRR
Yeah, SK would be a good hero to start out learning teh basics… until you’re in a lane with two ranged heroes with good synergy.
Blademail is so awesome against a mostly melee team on a tank. CW with a heart and two blademails + return is disgusting. Best part about blademails is they stack directly.
Or unless you’re against an NA.
Nerub Assassin?
i would like to see a blademail upgrade recipe (like dagon or necros) rather than wasting a slot to stack an antimelee only item
