BM is really a team based hero. Axes clear trees + good nuke. Ulti = free kill. Quill = viper slow, hawk = maphawk/maphack.
i just rush book, but that’s cause i’m boring.
bm is really hard to be effective with because you need great micro and insane map awareness, he really benefits from bottle and necrobook, because he can always keep an eye on the map, and with necrobook he has pretty insane chase and kill ability, plus it allows him to control wards, giving him pretty much the best map control in the game :-/
hes a really team oriented hero, hes pretty ok on his own but with a decent team a good bm is godlike and will allow his team to completely and utterly dominate in ganking.
oh and im posting fun lane combos for no reason:
juggernaut/earthshaker
omni/pudge
vs/techies
lina or leshrac/sven (possibly one of the best lane combos in the game)
anti-mage/nerub assassin (great anti-caster lane once they get to 2, they suck at everything else lol)
Yeah, same. I like to get a pers too, which I turn into a Linkens later on, after book.
EDIT: You don’t really need gdlk micro. I have NO micro, and i’m still able to use him. One thing that makes things really easier is simply to share control with your team so that they can freely use hawk. Then you just gotta worry about summon necro + targeting with boar + roar + mana burn.

Haha omni/pudge, funniest shit ever. When i first saw it used in a league match, i was laughing so hard. It was omni/pudge vs the normally dominant lina/sk combo was like wtf.

Whole lot of other shit than MoM. First off, MoM is a shitty item in general. Unless you’re never participating in team battles, the frenzy is going to hurt a lot more than it helps. Secondly, his skill has a cap on it, so MoM is really not going to do that much. Third, it doesn’t help at all with his mana problems.
Some gauntlets/bracers (preferably not bracers so you can get the level 3 Necronomicon fast), regen (I prefer a bottle, but tangos/clarities can work as well) and an early Necronomicon are a much, much better choice. After that you should go BoT and then Heart/Cuirass/Satanic/Radiance (or something else, depending of course on the game situation).
You’d think someone as pro as yourself would know all that. 
Ohhhh yeah, bottle. Bottle is just ridiculous with BM, especially since they rebuffed it.
RisingStars: IDK, I rarely watch replays anymore, but a couple of months back it always used to be SK/leshrac/____ tri-lanes, with warlock and someone else soloing.
i only get necros, satanic, curias, then what ever with BM.
Wow you just repeated my exact mid/early build except you swapped the MoM for the useless necronomicon. I say useless cause I’ve never seen anyone dumb enough to get it with the ability to micro the mages properly.
He does not have mana problems if you know how to play him. If you’re some newb retard constantly spamming axes, of course you’re gonna need mana cause you’re retarded.

I’m liking BroodMama, i think i’m going to be using her for quite awhie again.
Bottle and Necro is all you need. Necros with rush down pig assist ftw. Synergies really well. BM’s ult cd is pretty damn fast too. Current fav hero to play with.
Order of items I get:
Bottle
Boots
TP Scroll (never leave home without it)
Necro
Gaunlet if I can’t afford necro at the time
Necro lvl 2
Necro lvl 3
Heart/BoT
Usually the game ends at this point but I guess I’d get a cuirass on him afterwards.
I really enjoy it on Silencer. Stacking it with his ult in a firefight gives 10 seconds of silence (4 from rod, 6 from ult, I believe) on the target of your choice, plus damage on top of it. The IAS also helps his glaive orbwalk. 
3 oblivion staffs, how can you pass that up! Funniest item combo ever. IAS kinda defeats the purpose of orbwalk…
