So devil kings is Capcom’s own creation … sort of. Plot of Sengoku period of japan. The original game released back in '05 is almost a rip off of dynasty warriors but in feudal Japan and the characters have Devil may cry moves. So it’s Devil Warriors.:bgrin:
Now it’ll be a 2d fighter in japanese arcades on ??? hardware. I thought I heard someone say something about Taito hardware?
think of it as dynasty warriors, except it takes place in feudal japan instead of china.
what they’re releasing now is a fighting game spin off of the title.
it’s just that the adapted name “devil kings” in the u.s. never made any sense. dynasty warriors is a non-directly-translated name as well, but at least it’s not absolutely irrelevant to the content of the game.

God so it turns out recording a combo video is a ton of fucking work
It would be going a lot faster but the hardware I have is a pain in the ass to work with, every take takes like thirty seconds to a minute to set up and when you have to try like forty times to get one combo… blah.

I’ve been playing a lot of this game called Battle Fantasia…it really feels like 3s…The character I choose is Freed…and I dunno much about the game so far…but he feels like a good version of Q mixed with some Ken. I mean, it has the same throw buttons as 3s, specials cancel into supers, thers parry’s too. I dunno too much about the game, just stuff I’ve seen in match vids. The cabs for it here are crazy though man, the lindberg cabs with like 5 big HD screens…the same thing VF5 is on. It looks really nice. I’ve been playin mostly 3s here though, and Ive played a shit ton of top players, its just kinda random, who decides to pop in the arcade…I saw Issei yesterday, and Nitto.
Also…guilty gear is too hard…i cant get better at it…
So is there a lot of competition for Battle Fantasia relative to other games?

Well we’ve got flooding in our basement so I may not be able to host GG today, depends on if I wake up standing in two inches of water.
I found a slap-self-on-forehead easy way to cut match vids, so I’ll probably be doing that more often. I wish my DVD burner still worked because I’d hate to delete these things just to save space… but they really do take up ungodly amounts of it.
I haven’t really done much else other than play 3s…i’ve gone around, looked at stores and stuff…gone to a couple of clubs…but mostly just hittin up game centers and playin 3s
