The thing about dustloop is knowledgeable players do post there but youâll get more out of back-and-forth dialogue with them than looking for information dumps. Unfortunately that means you have to have specific questions, like âhow do I beat this character zoning me with this moveâ or âwhat is the most damaging tensionless dust comboâ and if you want just general advice⌠that might be harder.
The Ky forum is a good example of whatâs just kind of âoffâ with dustloop; the sticky threads have old Slash-only combos etc on the front page, but Final Showdown has been helping lots of people out (myself included) in the most recent posts. You have to dig, but the info is there⌠for some characters.
Luckily for you, Faust is one of the easier characters to figure out.

I donât know, itâs been years since I played it and I was never any good at it anyway. One thing I can tell you is do not play one-handed. Use both hands on the keys and use the turntable with your pinky or the outside of your hand. Also, you should be able to change the positioning of your hands as necessary; I play with each finger on my right hand taking up one of the keys and my index and thumb on my left hand on the two leftmost keys, which is really really bad â if youâre playing a song thatâs big on the far right keys like this youâre forcing all of that onto your pinky for no good reason. Itâs like RFO syndrome in DDR.
Hi-speed 2 is the absolute slowest you should ever be doing. Try to speed the scrolling up as much as possible, it makes everything a lot easier to read.

Utilize Towel mode (Sudden +) as well as what 722 said. What this mode does
essentially is take the top portion of notes off of the screen. Thusly allowing you to focus
only on the notes that are coming at that point and time, rather then the clutter on
the top of the screen. Also play on random a lot. Trust me playing on the same note chart over and
over is boring as hell. Hope that helps.
