The Home of Anti-Air Dust: Columbia MO Spring/Summer 2007

i heard eddie has a really hairy vajayjay

it must be true, the internet told me so!

gs to everyone I played last night; took me a minute to remember how to play, but then I got back into it

Chris: Chipp is annoying. good shit, but I’ll be back
Andrew: you must teach the ways of your HOS combos. It would do me a world of good.
Josh: I cleaned up first time we played, but you brought it right back second time around. that’s what i’m talkin about. :bgrin:

Tony: uh, play you next time

This will now be my driving motivation for all things in the competitive fighting game world: http://cheesecakeremix.ytmnd.com/

Edit - What the fuck is with the “credits” thing under my rating?

are u talking to me? I f u want to come down, that’s cool w/ me. It seems like everyone has a daytime commitment now except me? Playing at andrew’s post 10pm might not be ok if he has class the next morning? Of course you guys can game it up after 5pm-ish until … the break-a-break-a-nine thirty.:arazz:

is george dead?

lol Thanks. Dunno if I’ll see you again before I leave though:sweat:

Hey well here’s how that dust combo works.

The term “double-jump combo” when you’re doing dust combos actually refers to double-jump canceling the homing jump (“space jump”), not simply double-jump canceling the normals.

It works like this: during the first like 45 frames or something of the homing jump, you can “jump cancel” any move, but it’s not the same as actually jump canceling it; by tapping 8, or simply holding it, you return to the homing jump state. That’s why every bland B&B dust combo is 5D, hold up, do three or four fierces, then do an air combo.

What you want to do is return to homing jump, then jump-cancel that, so it ends up looking like this:

5D, j.H, 8, 5, 9, j.H

The joystick motions are really fast. You’ll know you’re getting it if the background doesn’t change colors, or if it changes back after a short time. Also, confusingly, you can go back into the homing jump during this time… so it’s possible to successfully cancel the homing jump, but screw up and hold 9 after the second attack hits and return to it.

Anyway, then you go 5S JI 5H superjump something. I think it depends on the character. I’m sure there are more damaging variants.

I think that was the only combo I was doing that you didn’t know?

Thanks for coming last night everybody, generally weeknights are not so bad for me but these next two weeks are exam, paper and presentation city. I have class early on Tuesday and Thursday so I can’t play late Monday or Wednesday nights, but Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends are all hunky-dory.

If they block a close S before you hit them with that dust combo, they eat anywhere from 197-220 character dependant IIRC. CC close S instead and do a running deep 5K, then either gatling to dust, throw, 6K, or gunblaze (connects).

If near corner, but can still crossup with gunblaze, do close 5S CC, dashing 5K, 6K (CH), CC, Fafnir, running 2S, 5H, IAD j.P, j.H, uppercut and check the damage on that.

I have to share with someone or I’ll go crazy.

thanks guys. I never actually knew that about i-dust combos

ps. My one bad night a week is tuesday, as I’m normally busy all night, but I can make exceptions if people give me enough heads up beforehand

It’s not well documented anywhere, so that stands to reason. It’s funny because that’s the most damaging option for several characters.

pfff I found some dumb shit with Bridget… it’s a shame it all takes 25-75% tension and is burst-unsafe :stuck_out_tongue:

You guys are definitely going to want to save your bursts for when it counts unless you like eating 250+ damage off of mixups though

Game is fun, ain’t it joe?

So besides 722, anyone else looking to come to champaign october 13th?

I’ll most likely be there as well, provided my car makes it to St. Louis the day before.

Looks like it’s a road trip on the Aaron express.

Or a ride on a train. Doesn’t matter I guess.

I’m kind of thinking about heading that way, and can offer gas money / maybe a car. Of course I’m an obnoxious scrub, so maybe I don’t qualify as anyone.

well, nick offered to give me a ride last week so I’m probably going to ride with him if I can make it to stl; I just need to make sure my car can make the trip. If not, I may have to find a backup plan, as I can’t make it to Omaha and I want to go to a tournament this eon:lol:

laffo

When are we playing next

I can do later tonight (after 8 or 9), late Saturday and some of Sunday

I’m down for some stuffs tonight.

It may be even later than 8 or 9… :stuck_out_tongue: I may have to bail tonight after all.
