The HEROES thread

/\ Hiro was still rollin around with Ando heh.

Versa Versa Versa!!!

Sylar is such a slimey bastard and now he has an even more useful power. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get Ex-Cop’s powers.

Speaking of Ex-Cop…

It’s funny how Ex-Cop’s wife has the audacity to lecture him on lies and deceit. Hell, that might not be his kid.

If Claire was smart she should’ve said something like her being able to “heal her brain” so that she doesn’t incriminate Teh Haitian!

Ya’ll can’t say nothing happened this ep.

well, it’s still way to early to tell what Ando is going to do. I don’t think he’d be written off the show like that. He’ll probably reunite with Hiro again somehow.

haha, I wonder if Peter absorbed the other powers that Sylar had. Peter would start eating brains for fun haha. But i wonder if he noticed the “see broken things” powers that he should have gotten as well.

Peter should also spend some time drawing, so he can figure out what to do.

edit:

Oh, and one more thing. Not sure this was discussed already, but at the risk of being captain obvious, the Haitian powers don’t make sense, unless he can time how long the memory thing goes away.

He was able to block Ex-Cop’s powers when they were talking from afar, but seems unable to cancel Peter or Dr. Who’s (and Nathan’s) powers even in proximity. Seems like he can’t do anything unless he touches someone though…damn these plot holes.

I’ve got an idea on this.

I don’t think the Haitian’s powers are “power blocking.” His powers seem to be more of a mental power and thus can only block other mental powers i.e. telepathy and telekinesis. This would also explain how he can make people forget, because that’s obviously mental as well.

As for Peter, It wouldn’t make sense that he would be able to block anything Peter has because Peter would absorb that ability too and be able to counter that. For lack of a better way to put it Haitian would block Peter but Peter would in turn block the Haitian and they’d cancel each other out, no blocking would occur on either end.

And the memory loss thing is permanent according to what the Haitian told Claire, and can’t be undone.

I thought the “I see broken things” wasn’t really a power. That’s what Mohinder’s father said at least. Not that he doesn’t have powers now or anything, but I wouldn’t call it a genetic mutation to be able to see how stuff works.

I don’t get Sylar. They made him too crazy, and so he is just stupid and creepy.

Eating the brain of that hearing chick was some of the dumbest shit I’ve seen. Almost as dumb as pretending to work for Bennet for like an hour, then just fucking his wife up.

I also do see how controlling space-time continuum, painting the future or demolecularizing objects could be a result genetic mutations either.

Sylar is getting out of control. His obsession for power compromises the need to be incognito, which only shows how far gone his mental state has become.

Honestly, I think the writers just failed to plan ahead when they wrote Peter’s vision.

Even if they throw out Peter’s vision as symbolic or bad writing, They still havent explained if Hiro can actually change the future or if what he does is always the reality of an event. So i am still brought to the question of whether they can even stop the bomb or if it is inevitable since Hiro saw it in the future AND Isaac painted it.

So far they havent changed anything from Isaac’s paintings or Hiro’s view of the future. Even the dead cheerleader isaac painted wasnt claire it was her blond friend. So they havent stopped any of the future things they have seen.

I thought Hiro stopping the bullet in last ep from hitting him could be “changing” the future but since “future hiro” came to talk to peter he couldnt have been killed by that bullet, so him stopping time there wasnt changing the future but an inevitable part of the passage of time.

Lastly, to everyone complaining about Sylar getting careless, they should realize he has the Pokemon sickness. He cant help himself, he must in fact, CATCH THEM ALL! :looney:

about the fat chick not hearing sylar, she did say mention that rap music was the only thing… and then she changed the subject. i’m lead to believe it “cancels out” the other noise, or at least helps to dampen it.

besides, why would she put her hearing to super sensitive all the time? that means if there’s a relatively loud noise near her, her head would explode. she probably wanted to hear footsteps within, say, 100 yard radius and sylar was able to mask that. his heart beat was heard since he was closer so its noise equates to the mentioned footstep at 100 yards away.

It still doesn’t make sense, though. If anything, her ears are just more sensitive to vibrations in the air (as sound is just vibrating molecules). So, if Sylar (or anything) moved at all, she should have detected it. But I guess the iPod covers it up.

Also, does anyone else find it retarded that a chick has genes that let her communicate with a satellite? Uh… yeah. The next phase of evolution will allow us to convey our thoughts wirelessly on AIM.

It explains it better in the online comic. Like she can “see” or “decrypt” all the information floating around through wifi.

The ear drum has limited sensitivity so for her being able to hear cockroaches scurrying in adjacent houses would be impossible unless her eardrum is was as thin as tracing paper and sturdy as a spider’s silk to detect such vibration. She coudn’t control the sensitivity unless she could control the stirrup/anvil/hammer/

So I think it’s best just to leave their powers to sci-fi logic.:xeye:

I find that easy to imagine. Just imagine the amount of wifi floating around us. It’s actually muuuuuuuuuch less of a stretch than BEING INVINCIBLE, FLYING, AND READING PEOPLES MINDS.

why are people asking about how the fat chick couldn’t hear sylar? She asked “i didn’t hear any steps?” and He answered clearly “because there wasn’t any”, ie, he was floating via his telekinesis. the ipod can cover for the heartbeats and breathing.

what doesn’t make sense is how hard working is she to still be there at that hour? does she always work with the doors wide open?

I agree. I really hate how they tried to half-ass explain these powers by saying it’s “genetics.” Yeah, the fuck right. They should have just not tried to explain it at all.

well, it’s no more fantastical than having them be magic powers. You just have to suspend your disbelief when it comes to super powers.

I understand that, but I was just saying that it’s harder to suspend my disbelief when they go out of their way to shoddily try to ground it to reality, gnoma saiyan?

I agree with this. My sarcasm wasn’t aimed towards the show Sep, it was aimed towards you. :lovin:

If you watch/read Xmen you fail.
