Although these are inconsistent with the show, for the most part, storyline-wise the comics do follow canon. Maybe not for minor things such as a minor character benig lucid in the comics/not lucid in the show, but for major things it’s pretty consistent. And Eden shooting herself is fairly major.

It looks like NBC wants to compete. Moving it to another day would show that they’re intimidated by Fox (and maybe rightfully so), but they probably really want to see how successful their show is by pitting directly up against 24 and see how many viewers they take away from the 24 audience and attempt to put a dent into Fox’s ratings. Many fans of both will probably tivo and DVR and stuff, but in general, they still want to see how they fare directly.
What would be interesting to see, at least on this board is how the two threads end up getting paced… would people watch their tivo/DVR copy immediately after either show? Wonder which threads would take off first, at which rate and stuff as the season goes on… should be interesting.

The best time for Heroes to switch to would be Tuesday. By January Sunday Night Football will be off the air so Law and Order: Criminal Intent can go back to it’s regular time which was Sundays at 9pm est. They can put Friday Night Lights on Sunday or keep it at the same time. It doesn’t really matter. Then Heroes would come on Tuesdays at 9pm. It would still have to go up against House but that’s not nearly as bad as dealing with 24.
It’s all wishful thinking however seeing as how none of this will happen. It just makes sense because believe me the time slot will change next season. NBC could save them a lot of trouble in the process.

Also how was peter able to see the future… or maybe that wasnt the future maybe someone was able to do like mastermind and project that scenario to him.
Someone (I think Stabby maybe) mentioned that to me just a few eps into the series. Whoever that was, mad props. They thought the reason for wiping her was different, but they still called the wipe and the effect.
Ya know I’ve got to wonder if all this talk about 24 is based in any sort of fact based on 24’s past ratings or if it’s based on each 24 fanboys’ personal preference?
And whoever said going against House was not as bad as going against 24 is simply wrong. House gets FAR better ratings than 24. Don’t believe me? Check out the ratings history for the last two years here:

24 is a ratings powerhouse for sure, but let’s make no mistake, so is Heroes. Heroes can stand against 24, yes both will pull from each other’s audience and it will be a battle but don’t think for a minute that one will kill the other.
Technically Heroes is currently rated higher than 24 was last season, but I recognize this doesn’t mean all that much because Heroes now is essentially unopposed and 24 was also unopposed. It will be interesting to see how both shows’ ratings handle when they face each other.
I want to say that he’s sick bc he caught something from Sylar but that might bring up some problems w/the whole power leeching.

Yeah that’s true. House does get better ratings then 24. But that doesn’t necesarily mean that Heroes would do better against 24 then against House.
I may be a little bit off base here, but I think that there are more 24 + Heroes viewers then there are House + Heroes viewers. Therefore if Heroes decides to go up against House, they’ll retain more of the viewership than if they went up against 24. Again this is all just my theorizing though and I could be very wrong.
I think one good analogy was the move from Grey’s Anatomy this season. They moved it from Sunday, to Thursday against the Number 1 show CSI. Right now Grey’s Anatomy is the number 1 show, but CSI is around #2-3 (fighting with Desperate Housewives) and and it hasn’t lost too many viewers.
If Grey’s was opposite Desperate Housewives (Yes I know they’re the same network, but let’s just say they’re not), then the viewership would have probably been split and Grey’s would probably not have been the #1 show.

One theory that’s been floating around is that perhaps the holding cell he was in, or other rooms he’s been exposed to, were the same rooms that Radioactive Man has also been in, and he’s somehow absorbed the radioactive parts of that power hence the sickness from the possible radiation poisoning. That would hold true if Radioactive Man himself were actually near him, but then again, as some people have thrown around, Peter seems to have visions of the future a bit more now and he’s nowhere in the proximity of Isaac either… so perhaps Peter’s powers are starting to become more lasting.

Spiked drink doesn’t make sense. The bartender obviously wasn’t in on it, since Matt could read his mind. And Haitian did KO him instantly. Eden distracted him for a moment, then dude rushed in and Sylar was out.
And it wasn’t me that was talking about the mom.
Anyway, I just now watched the episode.
The next half of the season should be better. Hopefully we’ll get much much much less Niki/Jessica. But it is anyone’s guess how they’ll be pulled back into the actual story with the rest of the characters.
Again, not being able to talk about spoilers here is lame so I’ll just shut up until the show comes back.
