I think some of y’all got some things confuzed. Kristen(Veronica Mars girl) is the one with the electric powers not Dania(X-Men girl who plays Maya). In ChairHome’s spoiler post, it says that Kristen is the one that will have electric powers but someone confuzed her with the other girl. Maya has some eye bleeding power as shown in the episode.
And wouldn’t it have made more sense for Sulu to go with him? He so set himself up to die.

Yeah, the ep was really slow, but don’t you guys remember that’s how it went last season as well? The story draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagged on for so long, and then they got to the Family Man episode and WHAM! Super-ultra-hyper overdrive. Then it dragged some more and then S1 was over.
Oh well. I’ve accepted the fact that this isn’t X-Men, and people aren’t going to be using their powers to fuck shit up. Although they should.
I’m not really sure about Maya’s storyline yet…I just know she’s really fucking hot and I want to see her on screen more. I love how she Raging Demon’ed all the Mexicans though. George Bush probably loves her for that.
