The HEROES thread

Lol, i was thinking the same thing.

I thought Claire was supposed to shoot Peter, their original plan to stop him from exploding. Since he could be brought back to life anyways.

I think the intention was that he’d be shot in the head.

Wow…
It’s like Spiderman 3 for me all over again.

I can’t say it was a bad episode.

But the amount of HYPE they put towards the ending was incredible.
And it was a hugenormous let down.
I was watching the clock, and kept pushing back the conclusion until the last 10 minutes.

And Sylar became super weak and stuff.
*sigh

Not a bad episode.
Definitely not a great episode. Best episode was “The Company Man”

I gave them all names.
Sylanardo. Sychaelangelo. Donatylar. And Saphael.

Claire bear…!

Err, might be nsfw haha

Two possible explanations:

1: Too concerned with blowing up to consider it

2: Powers fade after a while, and since it was really the first power he absorbed, it’d logically be the first to go.

bitch bitch bitch bitch

WTF? I’d rather have that 5 years later episode be the finale. At least you got to see an all out cold-fission war between the 2 broken muthafuckers.

I dunno, the fight was a little weak, but it’s not like it’s over. Teenage Mutant Ninja Sylar is still on the loose, and there’s still the creepass organization with out initials…

The series was just a series of strings coming together to unite for one moment to stop something really bad from happening. It’s about ordinary people with extraordinary powers, so I didn’t expect a flashy ending to this season. The series ended with everyone doing their part. Small or large. Everyone did their part. Hiro incapacitated(ever so briefly) Sylar, Nathan stopped peter from destroying the city, etc.

i think five years gone shows how important it is when you have even just one of the strings gone and how even a little bit of effort could drastically change things.

So anyone have theories on how they plan to cover up Nathan’s death?
I doubt that the press would accept that he flew his nuclear brother into the sky and was killed in the blast.

Please, someone tell me they recorded this show with the commercials! I think it was one of those very, very few instances where the show was good (IMO) and even the commercials were good, too! And to think, I was contemplating on whether to record this ep. or not before coming home. Learned my lesson now.

And interestingly enough, I didn’t feel gypped at all after seeing the season finale battle between Peter & Sylar. So, Peter using good ol’ fashion ‘street fighting’ (instead of retaliating with his own super powers) to take down Sylar felt quite all right with me. Didn’t even have a thought like “Ok, so when is Peter gonna bust out with his own powers??” come through my mind. (However, if they did something like that with the battle between Bobby “Iceman” Drake and John “Pyro” Allerdyce in X3, I would’ve been pi$$ed 'cause I do want to see them fight using their powers.)

One thing I was expecting to hear was Claire to say, “I’m sorry,” just like in Peter’s first dream.
And in that same dream, it made you go, “oh…my,” when you saw Nathan walk up, but in this episode, & immediately right after Nathan landed, I thought, “Aw, crud No.” Would’ve preferred a different ending, but this one was very entertaining, nonetheless.

Hehe, Mondays are like The Night to watch TV here at my house. Three television sets on at the same time: one on FOX for 24, another for Dancing With the Stars on ABC, and a third tuned in to NBC’s Heroes. Heh.

ya’ll are dumbasses. They are pretty much “new” heroes, so an epic battle at the end of the first season will be completely out of place. The future version of themselves with the chi-battle in the hallway MAKES SENSE BECUASE THEY ARE DEVELOPED IN THIER POWERS BECUASE IT’S THE FUTURE AND THEY HAD TIME TO DEVELOP THEM, DUUUUH. /RANT

Peter lives just like how Ted lives whenver he goes nuclear, it’s more of an outward explosion then a complete vaporization, thus Peter will live.

Claire shooting Peter wouldn’t have done shit, since Peter can regenerate, he will just explode some other time (unless they don’t take out the bullet like the glass shard, obviously). Same can be said with how he exploded in the air, he will live and but this time will have control over it.

I like the cockroach at the last scene with the TMNTSylar. Cockroach’s survive nuclear explosions, is a what I tie in with the whole nuclear thing.

offtopic, The guy who plays Sylvar is really great as a villian, also he’s really hot, in angry-demonic type of way.

My guess is that nathan’s alive.

He probably flew away at the last moment.

i like the episode. what happened at the end was so moving. hiro should have decapitated sylar.

awesome finale

Sylar didnt escape, someone stole his body

next season will be like star trek III: the search for peter

I want there to be like no mention of sylar in season 2 and then in season 3’s first episode we find out his brain is being kept in a tank in a government complex a’la AKIRA

I love how we went through 23 episodes without any mention of the eclipse

Bumpin this shit above the 24 thread and those bauer sissies.

i bet that charles guy is that person that amber is scared of.

that makes sense, becuase the blood streak pattern that leads to the manhole had no footsteps or crawl marks, it just shows the outline of his body then a narrow trail of blood into the sewers as if he was dragged there.

and also this happened out in the open where anyone could see him… so my conclusion is…

it’s Claude a.k.a. invisible man who took his body! dun dun dun

“Call me Noah” was the fucking epic quote. Thanks HRG.

The rest was okay. The plot was pretty shoddy in places. Like Nathan (who can FLY) just standing there like a doofus while Clare jumps out a window, lies flat as a pancake for 30 seconds, gets up and limps very slowly away. The only thing that would have made that scene better would have been him saying "DAMN she’s getting away!"
And what’s-her-name illusion chick got KOed but when the illusion “wore off” she looked pretty much the same. I thought she was supposed to be a fatty.

The solution I’m happy to say I didn’t see coming, though it was pretty obvious what was going to happen when it was getting close.

Overall I’m satisfied. I wasn’t expecting some pointless, drawn-out kung fu mutant battle at the end anyway. This isn’t Justice League.

There has to be some clause that says you can’t kill someone when you freeze/slow time… has to be somewhere in the Bushido code lol

My theory on the whole Sylar thing is that, he’s going to be used to introduce the new baddy in season 2.

Kinda sucks that we didn’t see Peter and Sylar fling their powers at each other though.
