All I can say is that was one hell of a shit storm. I’m not educated in what happened enough to point fingers… and really there’s no point to it. But the fact remains that what happened in Richmond at Civil War was very very unfortunate. Nonetheless, I had a good time and I’m happy about the experience, even if less than happy with how certain things were handled.

BOSS #1 (Best of SOVA Series) 5/29/11 Hampton, VA

I had a really good time at this event. Big ups to DON for inviting richmond to come out last week, and to all of the organizers.

The heat was a huge issue for me by the way, and I don’t think the venue could handle any more people. The only solution there probably is to cut/split the tournaments, but i’m not sure if Tekken or MK9 would survive without the MvC3/SF4 spillover. Look into it.

It felt really great to bring a setup and get 5$ off the tourney by helping out. 5$ isn’t such a big deal, but a little goes a long way.

I was really surprised at how many people told me that they didn’t have much matchup experience vs tron and phoenix… Knowing how to fight against those pain in the ass girls are key to leveling up in this game. Someone’s gotta pick them up.

props to winback for beating me twice, I gotta fight much lamer against that team. I got some ideas though.
