Viper has an optic blast in UMvC3. She didn’t need it by any means, but it’s there on a front page vid along with the Nemesis & Dr. Strange vids. It sounds really dumb imo to give her such a move but i’ll take it 
.
It’s use is arguable. It’s done by holding down a button for a while like Zero’s charge buster, can’t be done in the air (but can be stored), and MIGHT cause a soft knockdown when it hits. Cool that Viper is being buffed though, they should try doing that with other characters!
oh ya since this is for serious conversation, to those who may have missed it.
**So this afternoon, I took the initiative to go stop by hi-score to see what these dues would be willing to do to work with us.
Turns out, they are no longer located on Battlefield.
Now they are on western branch.

I guess it can’t hurt to try. Although, prob going to be hard to have a good showing of people to drive all the way out there if the venue works out.
Thanks I didn’t know they told how to do it already. I don’t really research the game past the front page and prefer to wait until release when I can see for myself. Good to know. I thought it would end up being a charge move.
I’d be good to drive to any venue within Va Beach/Chesapeake/Norfolk and I’m sure its in one of those cities.
I spoke with a few people about this already and heard good things about presenting this type of idea to the SOVA community.
The SOVA “Level up MY Game” Training exhibitions.
With an almost set schedule of sessions/ranbats/etc (Troy’s Wednesdays/Dsinnies Thursdays/Black’s Fri/Monday) I think its time we take these sessions up a notch. With the exception of a very few people one of SOVA’s biggest leveling issues is character choice. Im more guilty of this than anyone. So here’s the idea.
One Character, One Team, One Goal… LEVEL UP!!
Players some time on the weekend choose the character they really want to buckle down and use (AE, MK, T6) or team (MvC3)
Then players will choose another SOVA player and their character/team they wish to challenge in a ft5 or ft10
The challenge match match will happen at whatever session the players can agree on at least 4 days out
Once the challenge has been made/accepted they will be posted on SRK or Facebook and which day/session it will happen
Players are allowed Only 1 challenge match per game in a session.
Maximum of 2 total challenge matches per session.
***Example: Aleri can challenge Foomy in AE and Winback in MvC3 in one session. Aleri cant Challenge Foomy and Winback both in AE in the same session. ***
These are not money matches unless both players decide to thrown down on it.
The purpose of these challenge matches is for players to actually do some homework and learn about these match-ups in advance (4 days should be plenty): work on their character specific situations/combos/strats, execution, and whatever. Allowing only 2 total challenge matches per session lets the player focus more clearly on the task at hand. The outcome of these matches can do several things. They could tell us who really is working hard to get better, who’s slacking or really doesnt give a shit, who needs help or a lil push from other players, etc… ITs also a great opportunity for players to watch these matches and learn these specific characters as well to level up.
So what do you guys think? Its a great prep for the tourneys coming up and promotes individual growth as well. The challenges in general give a seriousness that some players need to get out of that ‘casual gameplay’ mode.
Attention any PS3 pad players, IE DBC and Don. I have figured out a way to dual mod a Sixaxis pad to work on PS3 and 360 and make it tournament legal (since it won’t be wireless).
Only down side is that you no longer will have the left/right analog sticks anymore.

I haven’t ironed out the price yet because the pcb that I need is not easy to come by cheaply. I need the 360 pcb out of a TE or SE stick.
Good idea, but it shouldn’t be one that needs such a concrete structure. If you need character exp and you know someone that plays said character, I would assume people would be smart enough to figure it out for themselves.
lol everyone plays ‘that said character.’ As I mentioned a very small amount of people actually have a main character. I wouldnt have thought of such a concrete structure had what you said been the case in SOVA. It was mainly to set in stone what someone chooses as their main character.

Man, SMP is always having good ideas.
And Titan, you need to teach me Venom. But that’s probably not gonna happen, cause I don’t live in SOVA and nobody plays GG, but still, I’ve always used Venom, and never knew shit about that game.
