@okkoe11even:
I will update this post, time after time.
- He is imo in general a strong character now. The character works this way. Strong oiled up and dry weak, still able to get a momentum change quite good when dry. He has options and tools, while oiled, which are great and could make him the strongest character in the game. There in the end only character called Hakan, but oiled up, he is tremendous.
4)You have to be oiled first at all. There are also different versions of this move, depending if you press a punch or kick button as a followup. Let me quote from ZentraediAce92:[details=Spoiler]
Now here is when I begin to question what Iām seeing and how it could be applied-
-Hakanās oiled up EX slide has a variety of properties based on what you choose to do with it:
+If you mash the oil up followup, he will only travel half screen
+If you mash the body splash followup, he will go full screen, but you are NOT allowed to FADC the frames it makes contact on (tested with dummy on all block and Hakan in opposite corners)
+If you donāt mash either followup, he will go just shy of full screen, yet you ARE allowed to FADC the frames it makes contact on (given you move forward slightly as from full screen it will wiff on medium sized characters like shotos); also, his body will awkwardly slide in a standing position pushing the opponent and you further forward causing some interesting situations.
+His speed is also altered based on which of these options you choose
And to top it off, using the EX slide dry works in the same way except all distances are about halved (need to recheck this).
His other slides, though their distances are not affected, their speed however is, when you choose to mash or not mash. Iāve accidentally caused a number of strange interactions thanks to my sloppy inputs and the direct effects causing my opponent to wiff their counterattack or not be hit at all when it normally would have ticked for a meaty slide.
[/details] I think everything is here explained.

what about the oil follow up to the slide? are there any situations where you should use it (getting out of the corner?) or does the guaranteed oil after the press make it redundant?
So uhh, no talk about ultra Hakan? My first thoughts now that Iāve had hands on this game.
The c.mp cancellability is nice and s.mp recovering faster makes s.mp links easier. One new thing is that without oil he can actually tick into his SPD this time around without having to walk forward first. Tackle being safer is a huge plus and you can still hitconfirm it.
I havenāt really put his nj.mp into work yet but I remember a few times in the past that I wished it had the same properties as j.mp. It still does 80 damage too. +10 damage on air throw feels pretty redundant.
c.lk can be linked into itself or s.lp now. I rarely use c.lk instead of s.lp and this change still doesnāt give me a reason to. The link to s.lp is one frame and linking it into itself is pretty useless. The best thing about this is the +1 on block now, IMO.
W Ultra seems totally pointless for Hakan outside of maybe a few select match-ups. The damage drop is just too huge. Iād personally only pick it for muās that are very hard to land an ultra in (for me Iām thinking dictator, always was a hard match for me). That way you might get more changes to land it and maybe be able to take to the offensive. The comeback mechanic value is gone with the damage, though.
The only thing I feel pretty salty about at the end of the day is his j.mk buff. āWeāre giving you a cross-upā they said. This damn thing is probably harder to land a cross-up with than j.hk. I wonder if anyone actually tested this one properly.
As you have to land on top of their head I also only managed to get 4f moves after success which aināt bad since he can combo from s.lp but I didnāt test taller characters yet. If thatās what Iām getting on Ryu and Juri I wonder if that cross-up gives me anything on, say, Sagat.
Iāve yet to try s.hp antiair buff. Dunno what to think about f+hk unoiled buff.
There is talk about Ultra Hakan, just the people are writing now in the Facebook group for Hakan.
I dislike the idea, but if thatās what it takes to get to read some thoughts about ultra Hakan⦠I guess Iāll be asking for an invite.
I played him only for a few hours, I can“t really tell much about him.
He is of course better than his AE2012 version, but the crossup buff is really disappointing, hard to actually make it crossup. What else? The idea behind the CR LK buff is to have an low hitconfirm from a safe low hitting button. Otherwise, I think that you said everything else I could say for now.
I forgot to tell it, but even in the beta builds of USF4, the crossup was really bad.
Just read the unlisted changes thread and apparently c.lk buff does not apply to chained c.lkās when oiled. Lazyā¦
Itās a better button for crouch teching now. Something I didnāt really think about before. Sent the FB group creator a message too.
EDIT: Oh, and Oil dive apparently doesnāt fly over characters as much anymore. I think the general wish was for it to do so more
According to Ultradavid doc file it does.
The entire game is a mess.
According to the games files
and my own testing just now it doesnāt. I couldnāt get a chained c.lk, c.lk to combo into a jab or c.lp even once out of about 50 tries. Iām hitting a single c.lk to s.lp or c.lp about once every 3 tries.
Also plinking c.lk, c.lk dry is pretty easy, but I canāt do oiled up c.lk, c.lk chained into another c.lk plinked.

Wow these forums are pretty dead huh? Anyway I was watching one of nouensan Hakanās videos and I noticed he plinked f.lk with hp, like this is probably common knowledge for Hakan players but you can plink f.lk with hp and mp because if you get f.lk + hp/mp at the same time then f.lk still comes out and not either f.hp or mp, I was wondering if anyone knows why this is?
It was also discussed at Reddit:
I have no idea, why it is possible. Maybe F+LK has higher priority over the hp or mp?I don“t know, but maybe ask Eternal or someone else.
Yeah, these forums are dead. The boys are in the Facebook group.

It would be nice for some discussion to come back here. I was on fb and in the group but i needed to take my privacy back
Itās happening/has happened with alot of character specific communities on the SRK forums. For some reason everyone starts migrating to a FB group and the forums on here slowly bleed out. I donāt even get the reason behind it, donāt see whatās wrong with just staying here and discussing the characters. Not exactly big on FB either. Nothing to be done about it Iām afraid
well my hakan bible is still active, i update it every now and then if i have the time to test out setups and confirming them to it.

but yea i think everyone is using fb discussion so if your getting into hardcore hakan then ask for an invite.
OTHERWISE please learn the basics first using all the resources here in the srk forum, really really really annoy to see ppl asking noob questions on fb page⦠;p
dang, why is this Hakan subforum so dead mang? its been months since people posted up in this bitch.

On the off chance anyone actually sees this post I was wondering why when I attempt to Oil up it occasionally fails and I just get like st/cr.lk etc. instead of oil, iām doing this in training mode with inputs on and there is no errors in my execution, like 1 in 8 times i just wonāt get oil.
