yeah, sometimes chapters have only like 12-14 pages. 9 pages is still very unusual. it had probably something to do with the weekly sh?nen magazine providing him only a small number of pages this time or morikawa was trying to arrange things so it can all fit into a volume. (volumes usually have 180 pages)
I hope Ippo does a Mashiba/Steve Fox and steps on that motherfucker’s foot when he tries to jump. I’m still hoping to see Woli end up going to the morgue after this fight. Fuck that nigga Woli.

I quit. Ippo has turned into a retard. I don’t care if this is a spoiler and I won’t be linking the next translated chapter. If you want to be disappointed, put your own effort into it. Ippo is now retarded, literally. He can be the official manga poster boy because that’s what he’s been reduced to. I realized part way through the chapter, if they set up Woli with a different back story, amateur fighter that came bursting onto the scenes and beat out Vorg or something then we’d be fine with this train wreck since it’d be synonymous with the tool gap between Miyata and Ippo. Instead this just turns into a poorly constructed travesty where I don’t even care that Ippo is going to eventually win this fight somehow. He’s out cold and talking like he warped back to chapter 1 getting beat up by nobody bullies.

This fucking shit manga… This prick is dragging out fights because he has lost the ability to tell a damn story. Reading this manga has become a chore. Even if Ippo does eventually rock this “genius,” the ass whupping he took to get there will still make it bitter. And we probably won’t even see that happen until some time in June.
