The Hajime no Ippo (HnI) thread - Gazelle Punch Her in the Gut!

I think you should exclude Vegeta from that list because he’s probably one of the best rival characters in an anime series. Vegeta actually redeemed himself in the end when he decided to swallow up his pride. But what did he get for it? He was practically on his knees begging and pleeing with the people of earth to lend goku their energy for the spirit bomb, and they were completely ignoring him, but instead they listened to that piece of shit Mr. Satan instead. For someone like Vegeta, this was probably the hardest thing for him to do since it took so much humility. It’s fucking annoying that Toriyama decided to shit all over one of his best characters which went through his one of the biggest revelations ever. Sorry, didn’t mean to turn this into a DBZ thread, just wanted to point out that it annoys me when authors don’t give some characters justice, in this case, Sendo.

Did anyone have problems with Frostii’s ep 9 HD video? I’m using VLC player and during the ep, the picture would randomly mess up(Squares appearing).

they released a version 2.

also ep10 by speedstar is out.

For Speedstar, it was Wednesday: http://a.scarywater.net/speedstar/

BARF!

Edit: Forgot to reload the page. Oh well, good news is worth repeating.

I was playing the DS Fighting Spirit game today. Not good at all. God I hate stylus-only play

No original music or voice ether >:|

I just read the ch 846 subbed, and i am officially done with Ippo. The fact that Miyata now unleashes electricity through his broken ribs pushed this pseudo realistic manga into the likes of the Naruto realm. I didnt realize one of Sasuke’s powers is the ability to jump into different manga. Sasuke can kill Ippo for all I care…oh whoops, I meant Miyata…no, wait, I was right the first time.

Demsey-Roll-no-Jutsu?

That just made my soul cringe and die a little.

it’s true

it’s true

Hajime no Naruto

hah yeah, my friend felt the same way. I wonder if sales will drop in protest of where the series is going.

look at the bright side. this fight will motivate ippo to get better again.

The fight will motivate Ippo to learn Rasengan in order to combat the Chidori

don’t give mori even more bad ideas =P

“Next week, we will discover that Ippo’s dog Wanpo is actually the Nine Tailed fox! I am so good at writing manga!”

I would be nice if Mori would put a timetable on the manga ending so Madhouse would have the go ahead to hopefully finish the anime. The manga is about 20 years old… I think it’s time to end.

So I’ve been catching up on the New Challenger anime recently.

Spoiler

Man, if Martinez is that damn strong and Date, who managed to give Ippo’s first loss, still hasn’t beaten him after a grueling 10 rounds; how long will Ippo even reach Date’s level? Another 800 chapters in the manga?

Still though; the Date vs Martinez fight was simply one of the most epic yet - almost eclipses the rematch between Ippo and Sendo at the end of Season 1.

For some reason, I couldn’t quite get used to the music of this season compared to the last at first, but a few episodes in, it’s been getting better.

Hmmm… I liked chpt 846. The resemblance between sasuke and miyata never bothered me because if there’s a character in a manga I don’t like, I just stop reading it; since I stopped reading naruto years ago, there’s no problem. The lightning god business is supposed to be metaphorical–again, I don’t see a problem.

HnI needs to end though. I still like HnI, but Morikawa needs to move on and show the readers he can give us something besides a great boxing manga.

Chapter 846

[details=Spoiler]Main reason I’m disappointed in this chapter was that previous fights, the comeback counter ends the match.

So when RBJ got back up, here I was thinking okay, either RBJ wins (yay) or Miyata does something spectacular to finish the match. Whatever it is, it won’t be a miracle counter at least.

Lo and behold, next chapter, counter…LIKE LIGHTNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING[/details]

in a way it was spectacular. you don’t see a supersonic corkscrew punch every day =P

It was, I’m just saying that it was still a typical Miyata finish…times two, cause he had to do it a second time.

I mean, I just don’t like his matches because of how the story is told in most of them. Here I thought we’d get a change of pace, nope, just double the typical story. :stuck_out_tongue:
