Ippo’s gotta level up quick, because right now Sendo looks like the protagonist of the series. Morikawa wants to make us empathize with Ippo’s plight, but all this is doing is making me more hype for Sendo facing Gonzalez.
Maybe a Frank Castle~esque incident where Ippo’s seeing his mom being robbed at knifepoint or something will bring out the necessary ferocity.

The amount of punches Sendo and Ippo have taken in their careers is ignorant. Like these niggas should be re learning how to read childrens books and stuff.

You guys are saying his boxing makes your head hurt… This is the same anime where punches are viewed as saws, they have dudes jumping around the ring like spider monkeys, the fastest fighter in the world can somehow be timed even though he’s too fast to hit none of it makes sense. I mean shit, they have a technique where they look away and get a cheap shot and a frog punch for crying out loud.
Edit: Yes I understand you can time someones tendencies, but they made this dude look like the flash when everyone else is just basic.
Songo you forgot this manga is story of a young bullied boy with penis of elephant who goes on a journey to become the best boxer in the world so he can finally grow the stones required to ask out the girl who has been desperate to jump on his dick for the last 10 years. And it is glorious.
In all honesty I almost quit this manga twice, and it would have been three if Ippo beat Alf. The first time was Miyata against I think Randy Boy Jr where Miyata was punching at the speed of light. The second was against Woli, which Ippo was touching niggas and leaving fist imprints in their bodies. I mean in all honesty the whole thing with Ippo becoming slightly brain damaged and then not doing anything about it is beyond me. I prefer watching Vorg, Mashiba, Sendo and in a lot of instances Kimura. Actually I really hate how they lump Kimura with Aoki, because Kimura is actually quite decent.
I’m still mad about Geddo and his whole “loose glove” shtick. The idea that the half of a centimeter extension would not only land repeatedly, but also do damage was the worst.
I’m mad that Aoki took a completely retarded way to tell the coach the trick. Come on

The trick is also beaten by…Ippo’s regular fighting style. Which…he did all match. But it worked then. What.
I think we can all agree the entire OBPF arc was stupid as fuck. Whatever was going on in Mori’s brain at that time must have been some real shit to come up with Gedo and Woli gimmicks.
Im on episode 11. Voices are terrible, but I like the show so far.
