Yeah I don’t expect a short fight. I expect a late match knockout or decision. I expect ippo to eat a lot of punches (then again when doesn’t he). I think he will win but he’ll definitely lose to Martinez. Either way, somebody needs to light a fire under his ass because he never seems to ooze that “I’m gonna become a world champion” vibe that Takumura gives.

I think Ippo will win this fight, but not before eating a lot of punches and snapping similar to takamaru did in his fight against hawk. I really think that promise he made with his mom will make him grow during the fight.

Ippo shouldn’t win this upcoming fight. I think the whole gym knows it, but plot armor will ensure Ippo wins on some sort of miracle knockout. I mean just look at what happened to Date when he faced the champ. Date got his ass kicked soooooooo bad. Granted Ippo has grown, it isn’t like these other guys are just slouching, they are hungry as well. Ehhh I like ippo a lot, I just don’t like to see him win when its obvious he should be knocked out. Who knows, maybe we will be surprised with this.
