I’l choose ultra 2 if it takes away an important tool of the opponent. surprisingly there are tons of punishes you can use.

does guy have frame advantage on blocked crouching lights ? , because when i try and do a frame trap that starts with a crouching light e.g cr.lp x2 into crouching fierce i usually get hit out of it if they are mashing their crouching light . It only hits when someone is actually crouch teching .
Oh and i keep getting auto correct dp’d whenever i go for a crossup setup after back throw or front throw , any tips on how to deal with this ? .
Yes. On block, cr.LP is +3, and cr.LK is +2.
If you’re getting hit whenever you attempt a frame trap, try one with less of a gap. For example, a common frame trap is cr.LP > cr.HP (6 frame gap). A frame trap with a smaller mash window is cr.LP > cl.HP (2 frame gap).
Thanks alot for clearing that up man , i will try and go for other frame traps with less of a gap now and once ive conditioned them to sit there and crouch tech , then i will go for the crouch fierce one .

Oh, sorry, I missed that question earlier. I’ve been getting hit by autocorrected invincible reversals (even slower ones like Fei Long’s Flame Kick) too. I went into training mode this week to figure out why, and either I’ve been messing up the timing of these setups for so long or the common cross up setups aren’t safe jumps. I’m starting to believe the latter (the cross ups aren’t safe jumps, or extremely difficult to time to be safe jumps). As far as I can tell, there really isn’t much you can do. After a back throw, I’ve been using the easy safe jump setup more often: back throw, back dash, safe jump HK.
Keep in mind that I could be wrong, so I’d be very glad if I were corrected.
Ah thanks alot for your thoughts on this . it’s a bit of a bummer then eh . It seems like before only a select few could auto correct their dp’s but now im getting hit with it all the time . The only solution so far is to pretend your going for a crossup and bait the auto-correct dp . But i dont like doing this Lol , i wanna hit them with the crossup and get the ambiguos setups going .
Yes the uncrouchable bushin flip grab “infinite” is mentioned. u just have to spam cr.lp or cr.lk to break it.

Every time i try it the fs.hp link pushes back too far for the mp to connect.

Yes, the cl.HK > st.HP > st.MP link is very character specific. Off the top of my head, it works on Balrog (Boxer), Dee Jay, Gouken, Sagat, and Zangief.
after a focus attack what would be the best combo to finish with because ive been doing target combo xx hozanto/run-slide for the longest but i rarely get a chance to hit somoeone with a focus attack. Also would it be better to reset after a focus attack or just go with the xyz combo after the focus attack?
depending on the character’s knowledge and play level you can try what i do in the here @ 1:30 if you wanna reset a 5+hit combo that leads to stun:

Very nice reset. Seems likely to catch people - at least when they first see it.
Just a general side note to those unaware, if there isn’t much scaling before the stun, it’s best to just finish your combo. A jumping HK/HP followed by a st.HP/HK attack is better than a focus attack.
In that vid there was only 2 hits before the stun so it’s worth doing a combo instead of relying on a reset.

I would notice after stun i would attempt to do a jumping attack combo as mentioned by af0 by the time i go for the hk bsk the combo didnt even matter anymore so Im going to be looking out for the scaling for now on. you guys got any advice on landing focus attacks with guy? I always try to hit someone with the max distance of it and it usually gets blocked.
Max distance sounds good as it gives u time to react to being thrown. Blocked is ok, u can’t expect everytime to hit. I guess its up to how u play, or your opponents. FA is good against some characters. Some general ways I use FA are seen in clips all the time:

Sort of like baiting. A blocked chain,c.lp c.lp tc xx runslide upon block FA. u can release immediately or hold on to it, play around with it. Distance in between is also important, as u can get thrown.

Some risks. Assuming u know he will end the blocked chain with a projectile or any non armor breaking move and provided that the distance is far enough for the block stun to wear off, u can FA the last hit. Or attacks that hit twice, block the 1st and …u know

Pokers. FA opponents who poke alot. Some guessing here.

On wake. Land a lvl 3 on wake. Or u can FADC to bait.

thank you for the info stlukes Ive tried step1 rarely like if I land a run/slide i would fadc back dash to avoid getting hit instead of actually landing the fa. and for number 4 I usually try that one in the corner and for some odd reason they either back dash and avoid it or I get hit with a reversal.

Yeah there is always some risk, 4) gets u in trouble once in a while. But if u were to time it nicely, and mix it with dash canceling, its not easy for the defender too.
