The Gundam "vs. series" thread: Fed vs. Zeon, A.E.U.G vs. Titans, etc

Ball is bottom Tier no doubt.

Acguy is mid Bottom.

And V-Gundam is top of the bottom tier.

You’re so wrong dude. I don’t mean to sound rude or anything, but I played BA2 for about 3 months just analyzing every aspect about the game, including the character matchups.

Ball is the worst character in the game, but the gap between him and other characters really is relatively small.

Acguy is mid bottom?? Hell No. Acguy is high tier dude. He can rush down better than pretty much anyone else in the game, he has excellent damage and combo starters in both the air and the ground, his super is pretty useless, but he makes up for it. Acguy has among the best chainability in the game, for he’s able to cancel his light attacks into his hards into another hard attack with relative ease. Furthermore, he has the extremely fast diving attack move from the air which is a great tool. Acguy is really good.

V-Gundam bottom tier?? No. Nu Gundam’s fin funnels make beam attacks and projectiles relatively useless considering they can’t be destroyed and they’ll stop any beam attacks or anything like that. Other than that, Nu Gundam doesn’t have extremely good stuff, but he’s not the bottom. His beam rifle is surprisingly powerful (like RX-78) and easy to combo into. His upward knee attack means free air combo for you, and that means buff damage. As I said before, fin funnels>> all projectiles, and they are pretty safe chip if you want to use them like that. Lastly, his HK attacks (Circle) do great damage and make small combos add up.

I could go on talking about BA2 because I love it, and it has so much potential… If you want to know what I think the full tier list is, i’ll be happy to post and explain.

I never really played BA2 in any sort of serious manner. I just generally came to the obvious conclusion that Ball is ass compared to everything else. Do your tiers include the gameshark only characters… zeta, hamma-hamma, the-O??

EAF vs. ZAFT does look hot. Anyone know if this one has a GC release as well as PS2, like some previous vs. games had in japan? I still don’t have an import friendly PS2…

dunno honestly, since when they made the console only Gundam vs Zeta gundam it was released both on ps2 and GC at the same time. I personally think if its gonna happen they would have announced it from the start.

Man I suck at this game.

Anyone know how ways to improve my game? Maybe some links to some match vids.
I use the Sword Gundam Strike BTW.

Hold up i’m confused, is Union Vs. Zaft out in the U.S. or is Never ending tomorrow a different Gundam Seed game?

Just recently found out that Fed vs. Zeon was actually in arcades, funny I just cracked open my old copy of it for no reason and now I run into this thread. Pretty decent game, but now this Seed game has me intrigued.

I found another copy of the game and have been playing it again, anyone getting into BA-2 should read this:

http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/gundam_battle_assault_2_strat.txt

Never ending tomorrow is basically Gundam Encounters in Space set in the seed universe. Basically a stripped down and slowed down version of zone of the enders.

Hey, is this game 4 players? Or is that for the arcade version only?

Scroll down a bit to find the Seed matches, 4 player action!!

Also, does anyone know how the config to the arcade version is supposed to be (there is an arcade version, right)?

i guess its no surprise but the arcade version of SEED Destiny Alliance vs Zaft II will be revealed on feb 7.

Are those the “DX” versions of the game that should be hitting consoles soon with extra features?

they dont seem to use the “DX” title anymore but i would consider the console version of the first game to be “DX” since it had extra mobile suits the arcade didnt have. Id assume they’ll have every mobile suit from both series in this next arcade version and maybe 1 or 2 new gameplay systems.

and there’s EA vs Zaft 2 on the way. Now with the entire roster of Destiny’s MS and pilots.
