In a SF based site, I’d have thought everyone would be listing the EGM Shen Long April fool’s joke.
My friends and I tried for WEEKS to do everything just the way they said to do it. One day one of my friends comes to school saying he fought (and BEAT) Shen Long and he was god for a few days. Then we found out it was a prank, and he never lived it down.

I remember when Deadly Alliance there was supposed to be one “Final Secret”.The Playstation Magazine was saying that the Final Secret was on the demo disc that came with it…smh Not even MKDA was on there lol.nothing,then ppl online were saying that if u beat the game in 12 minutes and 43 seconds you’ll be rewarded.Tried too,impossible!Beat that game on MAX,although it was fun hunting lol.I was nice in MKDA.

Sushi-X was multiple people. They just assigned somebody the title when they needed an extra review. Quartermaster (I think that was the name) was multiple people as well. Trickman Terry was a real person though. If you wanna hear EGM stories you should check out the 1upyours podcast from 2 or more years back when they had a bunch of old time EGM dudes on it. The PlayerOne Podcast also has tales of the golden days.

I think smash bros is the worst when it comes to this…Specially when you’re a kid…I remember going on various game cheat and code websites…I cried my ass off losing all my smash coins trying to unlock Toad by beating all star mode on very hard without dying. I got all the way to last stage(game and watch) and died…I just continued to play…Hoping I got SOMETHING for my effort… and never could beat those Fukkas…You have to fight like five of em at one time if I remember right. lol

I don’t know if anyone remembers the Gametalk.com forums from a few years ago. But,I remember like 10 years ago right after Dragonball Z Budokai came out there was this big rumor that you could unlock Super Saiyan 4 Goku by completing all of story mode,getting every capsule,and beating world tournament mode 20 times in a row on advanced without losing and without any ring outs. I feel sorry for all the poor people that actually tried
