Kinda surprised I had no desire to play/learn GBVS tonight, instead kept playing MVCI. I hope I don’t sit on GBVS so long that I lose any motivation to play lol. MVCI is just too fun though.
Playing vs a friend of a similar skill level, but pretty close geographically speaking, we’ve had a fucking blast, about 150 matches in. We’re both “figure it out as you go along” folk though, so just adapting on the fly rather than taking it seriously, but jeez, very good feeling to play, if that makes sense.
Hope the kiddo’s doing ok, too. It’s awful to feel helpless other than taking care. I feel for you, genuinely. I hope you’re all good soon <3

I know this will sound like a legit shot at MvCI, but…
Who are you even playing in that game? Did you actually managed to find another MvCI player online?
Edit: This is why I’m asking.
To put it in perspective, UMvC3 had 71 players 29 minutes ago. 
PS4 has a lot more MVCI players. I haven’t hopped online since I last got into it (last summer or so) but I rarely waited more than 5 mins to find a match. I’ve watched several streams recently and it seems to be the same as it was then.
And I know I can get some games with @ElliePhil if he’s around.
Also, I’m currently having more fun in it than MVC2 or any other game, so I’m happy to do it.

I joked saying I’d probably have better luck in Tekken since blocking standing is the standard there.

I got so salty today. I played a good friend with Makoto (a character I don’t play) and he played Urien and I got fucked over and over.
This never happens before.
Fuck man I gave him such bad games.
I don’t feel helpless. Kids just suck a lot of energy out of you.

@Evil_Canadian let’s hypothesize that Granblue on PC is a wasteland online in asia after like a month, Where that to happen I’d be down to try DBFZ again,
My team would consist of Trunks and 21 for sure.
Then I’d be indecisive between Teen Gohan, MyN17 or Hit
How would those teams work as positions are concerned and which assists should I use?
Honestly, I think they kinda nailed it with GBVS. The game looks and sounds great, the system is reasonably simple yet allows for expression, the characters are varied and can often be played in multiple ways, and defense and space control is emphasized way more than most other modern FGs. My only real complaints are the stupidly long super animations, the stuff the block button lets you do and how bland a lot of the characters look, but whatever. It’s also possible to complain about how easy the game is on the execution, but I don’t really care for hard combos in the first place so it doesn’t bother me much.
Katalina might just be my favorite FG character ever already. Feels like a cross between Ky Kiske and Raine Sage from Tales of Symphonia. I won so many games yesterday on just carrying dudes to the corner and fireball trapping them. The fact that a modern game even lets me do that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

well under s1/s2 logic, teen gohan, 21, and trunks is a pretty solid team.
however with s3 we still dont know how to build teams anymore. Like trunks went from a reliable anchor character to potentially a point character cause his mixup is so crazy now. Now more than ever though I can say pick who you want and it will kinda work itself out.

I woke up to the sound of a snow plough scraping along the pavement outside my house.
I had to wake up in 30 mins anyway because I have a long drive for work this morning, but heard the plough and thought that if it snowed I should leave earlier.
Woke up, came downstairs, looked outside and there was nothing. We haven’t had snow in three days and what we did get has been melting due to nicer weather… the fuck is that asshole doing at 4:40am?

Not that I complain, Kat is definitly the best thing that has happend to this game.
