Second playthrough of Metro Exodus has been a challenge on Hardcore difficulty. Less resources really make it tough in this kind of game.
Alas, i have reached the final level, The Dead City Novosibirsk. This won’t be easy.

How’d you rate Metro Exodus? Feel like buying it.
I would give it a solid 4/5.
Very enjoyable single player campaign. Has some flaws like all games but a breath of fresh air from all the standard shooters developers try to shove down our throats.
I recommend it fully.
Please play Metro 1 & 2 Redux before playing Exodus if you haven’t. Great games and you understand the plot much better. Not required but i would recommend it.
It really is!
Can’t remember the name of the main story mode, I think it was soul chronicle or whatever, but I played the hell out of it. Really curious about how SC7 will tackle the events of SCII.
The story where you play as your CaS character felt like non-canon trash and the RPG-like portion of it was boring af. Casuals who just wanna do cool shit with their edgy OCs probably loved it though.
SC6 is a great game. Really happy to see it’s still doing fairly well at tournaments.
I don’t get how 3D FGs work at all tho.
I don’t get how any FGs work at all. BUT GODDAMMIT I’M GONNA PLAY THEM
I found the Demon Flip kinda strong.
Then I figured out, I can insta airthrow her on reaction.
Now I laugh at her for trying to use that against me.
Not like that.
I looked up the frame data (this was back at like 1st week of the game) and everything was minus. Even break attacks were like, +2 and the fastest moves have like 10f startup iirc.
I just don’t really get how you’re supposed to pressure people in 3D games at all.
Most stuff in anime is also minus and people can pressure well.
It’s not how plus you are, it’s how you make your opponent not block you moves.
Anime is a lot more fluid because of the chains and it’s somewhat easier to visualize when you’re safe in a 2D game.
Though truth be told, back when I used to play P4A I didn’t really pay attention to frame data. I just tried to avoid the attacks Dustloop Wiki said that were unsafe.
Fucking numbers man, how do they work?
frame traps, movement, homing moves, oki, mix-ups. Believe me, SC has some crazy ass pressure capabilities.
Expand your mind and stop looking at frame data!
I realized gran feels really similar to sfxt ryu
How you guys deal with getting into two very differently fighting games at the exact same time?
Alternate days or something?
Numbers, where do they come from and where do they go?
Such things, are mine to throwloop!
Actually, take Tekken, in general highs are safe or +
If you character staggers from on block from a move, enemy is high +
Attacker staggers if you block, heavy punishable.
Soul Calibur made it even easier, since + on block moves were easy to identify.
And Cassandra was also there to be + on everything.
In 3d games moves have more properties to give them more counterplay
A high can be ducked, a mid might be steppable, a low could be crushed with an airborne move or move with unique state. Even if you’re pressing with a move thats slightly minus, both players are usually still in a mixup situation where their fastest options could lose to something the other player can do, which is why people will respect negative frames more in 3d games
Some thing are also minus on hit because they have properties that would make them stupid good otherwise, like should a move that can be used as an unseeable mixup have great frames on hit every time? that kind of thing
Just keep playing and don’t force yourself to learn too much at a time. Focusing on one character only helps a lot.
I’m juggling GBVS, SFV and Tekken. I sometimes play all 3 in a day.
I had to drop SC6 out of my rotation unfortunately as I don’t have any time for it and the netcode is trash/online is very dead. I’ll go back again when Haohmaru is out.
I really really love SC6.
I’ve been thinking about this when I was considering getting Granblue. someone was talking about picking a main in tekken in here recently and said something like “don’t character hop” and I took that advice and transferred it to FGs in general.
Not saying to only play one game. I just know that I’ve stuck with only playing Soulcalibur seriously lately, and it’s been more gratifying overall.
I’ll boot up DBF every once and awhile and try to wrap my head around it, but that’s just for shits and giggles
I just go with what I feel like playing day to day. Maybe I feel like grinding League of legends, play Monster hunter, grab some rounds in Tekken, lab Granblue whatever.
Too many games to lock myself into a strict schedule.
I can see why black people love Gran now. And it’s not just the Tim’s. He’s got the hoodie, the stutter step before his super… He’s pretty much your one white friend who grew up with you in the ghetto who loves dating black women.
Thanks guys, yeah, I’m definitely sticking with one character/team in each game. Will take some labbing to settle on them of course, but I’ll just scratch whichever itch is happening that day.
You having trouble with mixing inputs or are you talking about just juggling multiple games?
