The GranGlue Fighter Lounge: Corona Virus bodied Shadaloo Free AF

Not centuries millennia ago. The Greeks are credited with figuring this out in 200BC but it is believed by many that Eratosthenes simply copied an Egyptian theory from the now destroyed library Alexandria. The Egyptians likely figured out the Earth was round at least two millennia before the Greeks. The construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza confirms as much. So people figured this shit out over 4500 years ago and dumb fucks with more advanced technology can’t. Sailors figured this out long before the time of Columbus. They noticed how if you were sailing towards a mountain range the peak of the mountains becomes visible before their base. They knew if the Earth was flat the mountain appear all at once, only a curvature could explain the way things appeared on the horizon.

TLDR: People figured out the Earth was round a bare minimum of 4500 years ago.

One of the NPCs in FF7R is Patrick Warburton. (Joe from Family Guy, Brock Samson from The Venture Bros)

Isn’t one of the FF7 characters voiced by a dude that was in Breaking Bad?

Yes, Wedge. His voice is fucking perfect for the character.

Also I fucking love Biggs and Jessie in this game.

HAHAHAHAAH I FUCKING KNEW THAY WAS HIM I KNEW IT!!!

Ran into that guy and the first thing I thought was… holy shit am I hearing things or is that Joe Swanson?! I was watching Maximilian’s VOD of his run of the game and when it got to that part chat went fucking crazy saying it was him!

I feel like a god recognizing VA’s for random NPC lol

I legit had to stop watching at one point. I got too salty I don’t get to play this game for at least an year if it gets ported to PC.

The worldbuilding in that game is insane! Why do they even have all that voiced NPC banter!

I have to say man, that game looks insane.

To expand on that, the fact that the Earth is round wasn’t just something widely known about already in ancient times but, contrarily to what certain pop history wants you to believe, this fact remained well known through the entirety of the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Age.

Christian scholars in the Middle Ages knew about the round Earth like the ancients that came before them, and if you see the cosmology of the Divine Comedy you’ll see that not only the Earth is round in that but the whole imagery of heavenly spheres and circles is recurrent and related to God.

Also, speaking of heavenly spheres, Tifa got nice tits in FF7 Remake.

Every console player does.

If you don’t want you be a chump, then yes you do!

https://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-network-psn/playstation-plus/1-year-playstation-plus-membership-ps3-ps4-ps-vita-digital-code

got a code here for $36.

Think that’s where I got it last time when you hooked it up in the VG thread.

Its more of a “well do I wanna spend this money at all thing?” SF5’s netcode going tits up definitely doesn’t help.

Just think about which games do you want to play online and how often you’ll get to play them.

If it’s only SFV, yeah, you might want to give it a pass.

Also puts the Tekken/BBTag purchases into question. Might just cop the base editions and then buy upgrades later. There’s characters in the base game for both games that I like.

I can check the connections out against some friends in my city and see if its worth renewing PS+ that way.

That’s actually his son, Talon, that you’re hearing. He just manages to sound exactly like his father. Here’s the list of every voice actor that voices NPCs.

Because buying things for the sake of buying things is a terrible habit.

Working out the thought process of how much I’m really going to play any one thing limits hoarding. For most people buying games digitally (specially on steam sales) is no different than buying Funko Pops: they just sit there and they look good to have.

After doing a few silly steam purchases, I realized that they just got me with a few advertisements and acknowledged the psychological game.

Got my steam account organized with stuff I’ve already finished and games I need to play. Then there’s all this other shit just laying there that I’m likely never going to get to but I wasted money. That stuff bothers the shit out of me.

Preaching to the choir there chief.
But here’s how to cope with it, being an adult means being able to buy whatever you want for whatever reason you want.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a win-win scenario for me, if you renew I get to make fun of you, if you don’t Sony doesn’t get undeserved money for the most horrible and unjust practice in modern gaming.

Its the same as the Funko pop thing: its just spending money on stuff that doesn’t do anything. I bought like 7-8 of them and then went “yo, did I just throw away 80 dollars on some bullshit ass dolls?”

Digital game purchases get the same way. Sure its something I could potentially play. But a lot of those purchases I am very likely not going to; so why am I spending the money?

Its a weird trick game of the psychological stress of missing out versus the reality. I have my list of games that I need to finish up on steam, I have a small wishlist of games I know I’m going to make time to play when I get them and that’s about it. All other games on steam basically don’t exist to me. FGs are the same way. Think if I had a PC where I could play them it’d be easier to spend the money but yeah, Microsoft can go EAD for charging for online and Sony can go eat the same dick for following suit.

Yeah I only buy non-FG games on steam that I put on my wishlist and I only buy them when they’re over 50% discounts. But I do consider that my children should be able to play these games in the future if they want to.
I do still buy pretty much any FG except the ones I am just never going to be interested in. but I do generally end up racking at least 50 hours in the ones I buy.
