Predictions on everything are deader than Street Fighter Alpha eSports.
I still think half of Capcom’s desire to not buff Juri comes straight from Infiltration being able to win with her, ignoring that it seemed to be more the player than the character. (While Infiltration won with other characters, other players weren’t winning with Juri the way Infiltration did.)
Could be.
I personally think it’s just a team’s inability to admit they had a bad idea (vtrigger 2 to give an example) and or straight out biased , yes developers are as well. I came to the conclusion they pretty much want some characters to perform better than others.
As i said before, i refuse to believe an entire development team has no clue how to buff a character after 4 years + of feedback from the community and online stats that clearly show she is underperforming.
Infiltration that godlike though and Juri is his nr 1 waifu, he said it multiple times. It gives him strenght i suppose.
there’s actually a few good arcades around here.
All of them are tied to bars, it’s really the only way that they stay open.
A lot of them have FGC stuff weekly, too.
The one I go to the most has a Virtua Fighter 3 cab which is pretty nuts, and a candy cab that either has Vampire Savior or MvC2 on it.
I miss arcades. I remember my local skating rink had a decent one. I remember one point in time I played mvc2 against a much older kid there who obviously had some knowledge of the game because he picked cable.
I picked Ryu and some other low tier characters I had no knowledge of how to be decent. I just remember him looping cables super on me and me giving up instead of wasting anymore of my precious quarters after like three tries lol.
There’s always a kid that’s like 5 times better and kicks your ass.
I legit feel bullied and they didn’t even ask me for my lunch money.
Eh, as someone who owns the switch version, it’s only impressive in a “I can’t believe this works at all” kind of way.
It’s fine, but vastly inferior due to the limited tech, and not just in superficial ways.
I think everybody has a memory of thinking they were nice at a game and getting bodied. Especially in arcades or local scenes. Or at least I do.
I stay on the lookout for a SFV arcade cab so I can be that person
Do those even exist?
In Japan. I think they made, literally one, for a Walmart advertising. Might have been advertising an energy drink.
Yea tbh if u think about it, it’s a strong memory if you still hold on to it for so long but in the end its all good fun no hard feelings i love to remember the old times.
Totally fine,its just a game !
Summary
They do in Japan. SFV Type Arcade.
I wanted to cry when I realized you couldn’t tag out in PS1 X-Men Vs Street Fighter.
Holy shyt! My day was ruined. Had rounds like Street Fighter.
I wasn’t ready.
Capcom accidentally created anime games that day.
I just remembered I have this place 30 mins from me, realised I always wanted to go, never did. Once this shit’s over, I’m getting a handful of friends over there!
Why do we call anime games anime games? Like everyone knows what you mean when you say that but like…Street Fighter is pretty anime too lol.
Is Marvel an anime game? I don’t think so but I really don’t know
Anime is a nebulous label that people use to refer any game not made by capcom and maybe SNK.
Marvel fits all the criteria that they use to say a game is anime, but somehow is not anime because reasons.
Some dude went and dismantled all the excuses that many people used to label a game anime here
Because it’s a comic, dummy.
It is, but it’s more of an artstyle label than essentially a gameplay one, or else Mahvel fits in more than Unist.
When talking about games like GG or BB, people also refer to them as Airdashers, but the anime artstyle is so impactful even to the untrained eye that the label kinda stuck.
Does a large amount of the cast have an air dash?
Its anime.
By that definition, Marvel’s anime and Granblue isn’t.
