I’m still going to the office for now. Outside of having to get to work 1 and half early, only taking a half hour lunch, and leaving 2 hours early. Work is mostly the same. Toilet Paper is more rare than a winning Powerball ticket though. Also I see a lot more delivery drivers on the road.
My question is how much TP do people use? I live in a 2 person household and we use like two rolls a month max. And I have Crohn’s disease so I probably use double what the regular person does.
People are acting like the world is gonna end up like a Fallout game.
It’s a psychological thing. People cope with things they can’t control by focusing on things they can (like toilet paper supply).
From what I understand the TP specific thing comes from an old Johnny Carson bit, ironically The joke was that TP was the dumbest possible thing to buy. Not sure if true, but I don’t care enough to check.
Can’t complain. I’m in software development so my job if anything became even more efficient since I skip commuting and my team all knows how to WFH well.
My son is missing a lot of therapy though which he needs if we hope to enroll him in a normal kindergarten next year.
We’re having a record string of warmish sunny days too, which are keeping the wife sane.
