The Good But Generally Bad Police Thread

[quote=FiveTwelve;10115483
That’s the part that didn’t make sense. Let the drug dealers do their thing to cut down on arrests. Let murder slide to make cops less violent.[/quote]

As for the last part, yeah we need to let some shit slide.

The cops weren’t always this violent and this armed. What ended up happening is we started the war on drugs because drugs are bad. All of a sudden drugs became an extremely profitable and highly illegal way to make cash. This brought up the modern violent street gang that was armed to the teeth, rather than people with bats and knives brawling around. Now everybody was freaked out about drug violence so we asked the cops to take care of that. Now all of a sudden they had to go up against people armed to the teeth who’d shoot first and ask questions later along with random armed, or just dangerous drug users. So we had to come up with all sorts of rules and ways for them to do that job.

And so here we are today. We’ve got a much more armed and violent police for in many areas to combat gang activity, which is always inherently funded by an illegal drug trade we created when we banned them. The people who live in the areas complaining about the issue want help, but then also accuse the cops or racism when anything is done about it and the situation has gone far past what the cops can handle without arming them even more. It’s created a situation where that violence has spilled out of the areas it should have been confined to.

We can’t do shit about a culture that glorifies gangs and guns, that’s not going away. But we can legalize various items to help suck the money out of shit and we can look at the areas riddled with violence and tell them they either need to accept an extremely harsh crack down or shut up because we can’t do anything about it for the time being.

Man, you know how hard it is not to run from cops even when you do nothin wrong and they just want to “talk”? They used to sprinkle cocaine on “criminals”. From that right there, you try not to get to close to a cop. Then on top of that, most of them probably smoke weed, which is illegal. Ok, maybe they shouldn’t smoke weed, but hey white people smoke just as much weed as black people, so I don’t think the weed is the problem. Shit, if I walk out of a nice store without buying something, I almost feel as if I did rob them.
I think the main thing about getting arrested, though, is the fact that when a person gets arrested and does not understand the legal system or how stuff works, they automatically assume that they’re gonna be hauled off to butt pounding prison.
I definitely agree though, running from a cop is asking to be arrested, while fighting a cop is guarunteed to be a lock up.

And as for that, while you may feel that way, you are not everybody. I dont really know how shit goes down in Canada, so i dunno how well situations in America map to the same situations in Canada. But while him being dangerous had nothing to do with him being black, when you see trends of cops vs black people, you’re gonna be suspicious the next time another cops vs black person situation pops up. Its just racial profiling, mapped to an occupation rather than a skin color. Cause I see what goes down at those airports when a person of middle eastern decent (or even just having a muslim name) comes through secuirty.

You’re a dick, I changed it because you and some others were getting upset over it. I certainly didn’t want members to feel that way. Read your previous posts.

See wtf man, when people start feeling like this then something is wrong. You’ve shown me you’re a complete ass, out of respect to other “white/offended” SRK members I changed the thread title, if you want to read into that differently whatever man.

I apologize if it offended you, fact is racial profiling exists, doesn’t matter if the cop is a black or white, being black you get treated differently by the police. This is what I think the case will boil down to.

If you want to continue throwing insults PM me

edit: 730BlackMage pretty much said it

oh i agree that racial profiling exists, but when people are posting video’s of black people attacking cops, then when the cops defend themselves, crying “racism”, then it’s just complete and utter stupidity. Cops have a right to defend themselves like anybody else does. Even more, due to the fact that they are armed at the time, and can NOT afford a situation getting out of hand.

Are you referring to the cop punching the girl, because I pretty much said the girl is completely in the wrong. You were calling me a racist so I posted the video where I thought the black person in the wrong. The point I was trying to put across was the way he reacted to being pushed was excessive, and that in the situation with the naked unarmed man attacking 2 cops at the same time shouldn’t have resulted in someone getting killed.

Complain about stereotypes.

Use stereotypes.

Har har

Someone didn’t see jackass 3-d yet get on that!

/thread.

What’s the word for this? Hypocrisy or something?

  1. no it wasn’t excessive. Had that girl grabbed his gun or his weapon, shit would have went from “uh oh” to “dead cop”. A cop can’t even let that scenario present itself.

  2. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that LA cops probably have to deal with some crazy shit that people in non metropolis cities don’t have to deal with. I’m fairly certain that dealing with a drunk naked disorderly guy isn’t a regular everyday thing though, so I ain’t gonna freak out if a cop deals with what HE SEES as a potentially dangerous individual in a way that YOU don’t like. When cops start killing every naked person they come across, then I’ll maybe change my mind. Until then, I have no problem with cops being ‘excessive’ on a case by case basis
