Thought I was out at per Lounge thread, but it’s been popping off. @ertho, this was my post was about. There’s legalese to flip and say he died of something else, and get some bullshit release. You thought I was talking about bringing the cop on Murder 1 because…I don’t know.
@Pertho got mixed, but doesn’t the legalese can still from my first post still let them get out of this ? Even after this guy does an independent study. It sucks it’s clear as day, and we know it’s not full proof.
A long time ago I decided to start looking at why court cases were decided the way they were. A lot of the time people are mad at things they didn’t in understand. In the case of the supreme court and appeal courts, there is A LOT of fuckery in them because of how those appointment goes.
When it comes to criminal charges, things are a bit different. That’s why people have to learn to separate the hyperbole of emotions when dealing with law. There are definitions in law, criminal cases have standards of evidence and all sorts of things.
So as new info starts trickling in, people need to understand what justice is going to look like. It feels like this guy got murdered. the reality is that he was killed. The actions the cops took contributed to his death. Now its a legal matter to sort out how much and how severe a punishment he should get for it.
Everybody knows for a fact that this guy probably stays living if they don’t have 3 people pinning him down. That isn’t intentional, premeditated murder, but they took actions which contributed to somebody’s death. The part to be angry about is that they did so because they felt a certain amount of power that comes with being a police officer (this may or may not be an issue based on the evidence they find in his file).
This court case is going to be decided mostly on a few things at cursory glance:
What physical issues did decease have that lead to the death?
Were there any other things which aggravated them? Drugs etc.
How did the officers restraint contributed to the death?
Why did they have to restrain the deceased in the first place?
Was this a restraint they were trained to use?
If it was, did they know the dangers of it?
If they weren’t trained to do that, why were they doing it?
Cursory glance, this is basically what investigators are going to be looking to answer at the moment. On top of that, they may go into the history of each officer. If there is a pattern of recklessness, then this situation was basically part of his daily dice roll and he just finally managed to irreparably fuck somebody on it.
But all in all, you have to let it play out, understand what characters they should go for and which charges they shouldn’t. If you take the wrong charge to trial then you get the Zimmerman situation.
The UR stream that I linked, one of the speakers talked about law enforcement is going to start fighting back.
Of course. That’s why the sentences about
Had me raise an eyebrow and go “Come the fuck on”. With legalese it can go both ways, and has, which is why I went the comment I did, “Sprinkle crack on him”. I’ll stay optimistic, but pessimism is definitely warranted considering the precedents.
In other news the wife of Pig Chauvin is filing for divorce, but it’s speculated that this is so the prosecutors can’t go after his assets. He’s murdered twice before and hasn’t left him so who knows. The other times he killed, there wasn’t this kind of blowback.
It’s poetic that you’d stan for the inflexible, borderline mentally ill guy who dies at the end holding onto his misguided beliefs…
Obviously after Watts, LA, Ferguson, etc, people rioting, burning shit down, and looting has worked wonders changing all the things people were mad about. It’s a good thing too, because obviously taking a bigger part in the system and organizations responsible for this type of stuff wouldn’t work at all.
You going “acab” is hilarious too because I bet you’re the first guy on the phone to the cops if there’s some weird homeless guy hanging around where you live. GTFO
I really thought I was gonna go to Planet Fitness to get my gym membership later today. Folk in my city are nuts about protesting and they were just down my street actin a nut AND it’s a 100% chance of rain too? And I’m practically an endangered species?? Hermit mode winning. Maybe tomorrow will yield better results.
