Yeah the UE isn’t what I expected, especially after watching an unboxing and seeing everything the European release gets. Oh, and apparently the soundtracks aren’t available for download until the psn store updates later this week. The other two codes worked, but the sdtrk one didn’t. Go figure.

When you use Helios’ head, for the flash whatever… Kratos charges it up like a Hadoken. From what I hear, the GOW team are pretty big street fighter fans.

To those that have gotten this far: Claws or Blades?
So you don’t fight Ajax, and Achilles in this game .
Man, I’m loving the Hades weapon…and you get summons to go with it! Summoning powers are always a bonus point in my book…I love it. I’m already curious to see what the other things are that can be summoned, but at the same time I don’t want to spoil it for myself…
*oh, Hades’ helmet—It’s in River Styx after you beat him…swim back towards the screen/camera, and it’s there on the ground. You can also find Helios’ shield off to the right side of where you found him.
The game just keeps getting better as I get further into it. I can’t even say 1 negative thing about it so far…it’s actually shaping up to truly be a perfect 10 for me. This is LEGENDARY gaming material, folks.
*That long-range grapple with the Blades is soooo nice. It’s incredibly useful to add to nearly any battle scenario. One thing I like to do is add that right after I do that aerial slam…you go from the mid-air grapple to yet another grapple either on the thing that just got slammed or one of his buddies that happens to be close by…it’s like a great “connector” move or something.
I didn’t even think to grab the helmet and shield. Will have to do that when I run through on very hard.
Wait… can you do anything with Hades’ helmet, or is it just cosmetic/a “treasure” that goes toward unlocks?
It’s like the other god treasures where you can’t do anything with it until after you beat the game. I have no idea what they do though, I wanna find out for myself when I beat it.

At the upper right hand corner of the Gaia’s Heart room, before you move the wall piece over you can climb the wall on the right and get a Zeus item
Damn. I missed that. I just beat Hades so I’ll get the items.
That Hades fight was pure epicness, i love how in the beginning he just walks up to you and tries to take your soul. Had to reload my save after the fight just to do it again.
heh, I found the helmet and shield because I’m being careful not to rush through… I’m specifically on the lookout for such things and hidden areas and all that jazz. I also found that apparently hidden room with all the hands already on this first playthru, and you get a trophy for that. Basically, when it looks like I’m supposed to go one way, I’ll look around to see if there’s anything else or any other paths to explore before moving on.
I think those items may just be cosmetic though…I definitely look forward to playing through again with Hades’ awesome helmet on.
Special note though—according to the game manual, other costumes disable the trophies.
…oh yeah…I’m off tomorrow and Friday, which creates a nice 4-day weekend! This will be perfect. (*yep, the arrival of GOW3 is part of the reason I took those days off.)
Please tell me someone else made it to Hercules. What he says is just so damn funny I had to reload my save to hear it again.
And wow Herc looks so much different from that costume you got in the previous GOW. He looks badass.
Also boots of Hermes is the SHIT. Just extended the already nasty combos I can do. I love these boots.
So I take it some of you have beaten the game on Hard mode by now?

The best parts of the game are finishing the story and the cinematic brutal kills with large enemies. Unfortunately I rather watch someone do those i’m too focused on watching out for the button input that I can’t clearly see and enjoy what Kratos is actually doing. Perceptively a blur when all this happens… PRESS X, NOW X NOW CIRCLE NO I PRESSED SQUARE! Maybe I’ll just screw up finishing blows for the sake of getting to see it again lol
In a way similar to holding your enemies inflated in Dig Dug, You pump em up but you dont blow them up and you dont let them deflate either haha, e-Torture!
