First off,

There’s only two scenarios that I think are plausible here:

1)Skinny dude thinks the kid is cutting in line, so he kicks him in the shin like a boss, only to get floored by his father like a CEO.

2)Skinny dude is mentally challenged and somehow felt threaten,(it explains why the lady gets involved in trying to prevent the adult male in punching skinny dude in the face) but the adult male doesn’t know that, nor should he care really.
